Availability of taxis

Are taxis regularly available throughout WDW? Would I have any problem finding one at a resort, park, water park, or Downtown Disney? Are there any places where I might not be able to get one fairly quickly? TIA.

My experience is limited, but when we needed one form our resort, we called the front desk and they connected us and we scheduled our ride. The taxi was always timely. We went to a different resort for kids to do the Pirate Adventure and when we went back to our resort, we just went to the bell stand and there were several taxis parked and one was immediately available. We're a family of four, so we didn't need a larger vehicle.

Thanks. We are party of 3, so we don't need a larger vehicle either. I am wondering about availability at the parks? We have an Ohana reservation at 5:30 on our AK day and I was wondering if a taxi might be faster than waiting on the bus.

Taxis are readily available at all the resorts and parks. No need to pre-order one as there always seems to be one around. If not, just go over to the valet/bell services stand and ask them to call you one - it will arrive in just a few minutes.

From AK to 'Ohana isn't really a difficult thing to do via bus. Just catch the Poly bus at the AK bus stop. It will take slightly longer than a taxi because of wait times and perhaps stopping at other resorts, but its free.
