I love when 11 months out date is full, the following day is full, day #3 is open, but day #4 is not. That makes all sorts of sense. Someone magically has booked a room starting at 11 months + 4 days.

Could be a fixed week or a refurb block out, but otherwise very odd

It can't be walking. If day #3 is open and day #4 is not at 11 months, something else has to be in play.
Actually, it can be - along with other things being mentioned, like fixed weeks. I'm not going to try and speculate how walking and fixed weeks would cause it - but it's what you're seeing so it's where the rooms are right now. I'd recommend continuing to monitor - you might have zero luck, or you might see rooms start to open on the backend. If even a single day opens for you that you can get, grab it. If you get a few single nights, you can merge them later. Certainly not ideal, but also not a totally unique situation you're seeing. There are 4 or 5 room types that can be very difficult to get, even at 11 months - low points, not many of that room, etc, can cause this type of frustration. We've seen it too! Hope you get lucky.

It's not possible to be walking or fixed weeks due to the days. The only option is maintenance or something sketchy we would never get to know about anyway.
Obviously I'll keep watching it but it was a weird thing to have it tell me 1 of my nights was available, and have it be a night I can't even book because it's past 11 months, but the nights past it also aren't available.

This has happened a number of times in the past and the usual cause has been a system glitch that eventually clears up. Just note that the day being shown as wrong could be day 3 rather than 4.

Another possibility is that DVC pulled inventory for trading thru Interval. I don't follow trading closely, but I don't believe that Disney waits until after members have made reservations to submit only the least desirable accommodations. Seems like they'd have to pull a certain amount of inventory before 11 months to make sure that traders have access to some "good" rooms & dates.

Just did a search to see what the OP is seeing on the reservation tool and its crazy! While I did not see any "unavailable rooms" on day 3 or 4, I am seeing them on day 2 and in some cases 3.

For some of these resorts, there are only 5 days available (so tomorrow's booking is already taken) and in some cases only 4 days are available for a 7 day booking period starting today. One would expect 6 days to be available assuming that the owner booked up today and there should be rooms available tomorrow to book.

But people who are already looking to book tomorrow do not even have a shot at booking a room for certain categories even if they hop on at 8am on the dot exactly 11 months ahead of time.

There are 10 "room categories" across 4 resorts (many of the categories might cross over-- for example, a studio and a lockoff 2bd).

These room categories seem to be the hard to get typical resorts with the difficult to book categories. Many of these hard to get room categories show only 5 day availability (when there should be 6 days, assuming you booked today's 11 mo booking).

There is one category which is apparently one of the hardest to get categories that show only 4 day availablity, meaning tomorrow and the next day's 11mo booking period is already gone.

SO ODD.

I am, however, surprised by two of the resorts that is in this bucket of "no rooms tomorrow to even book."

One resort is the newer of two with shared facilities, and I know people seem to swoon over this resort during Xmas time. Perhaps ppl are possibly already walking for the Xmas decorations this early for this particular section of the resort.

The other resort is supposed to be going through construction next year but should be done by the holidays, and their studio is one of the tinest on property. I am very surprised this resort even with its point saving room category is experiencing this 5 available out of 7 day phenomena.

These two resorts and their respective room categories surprise me very much.

Wait August of next year is booked up like that? Seems weird.

Did anyone contact MS about it and ask?

I don’t think DVC would take BWV standard view and AKV value and deposit into II.

Those room types are in very high demand among members and if II work anywhere like RCI then DVC need to deposit a certain number of weeks matching the number of points members have used with II or are expected to use or maybe a combination hereof.

Seen from a II traders POV why book a BWV standard or AKV value if the cost of booking a pool/garden or savanna view is the same?

There's a thread on TUG where members post sightings of DVC exchanges in II (previously in RCI). Almost all deposits are SSR or OKW 1BR, with the occasional BWV or AKV or other resort thrown in, and a rare 2BR deposit showing up from time to time.

The II trader doesn't get a choice - they take what DVC deposits, or they don't book. And I doubt that BWV standard or AKV value ever show up. The AKV that do show up are usually Savanna view, presumably because DVC owners are less likely to book them due to the higher points cost than standard view. BWV is P/G view, no Standard or BW view.

Not only are the deposits from among the least desirable room types, they are also generally for within the next 3-5 months, if not sooner.

This hasn't always been true--about 10 years ago or so I managed to get a 1BR at BCV for Halloween week through RCI. Back then you could see when the reservation was made using Disney's IT, and it was at 11 months prior to check-in, exactly. It wasn't even via ongoing search; it was just sitting in open RCI inventory. If memory serves, it was even at a discounted exchange value using Wyndham points.

And no, I had no business being in that unit as an exchange guest. I would chalk it up to clean living, but at the time that did not apply...

You cannot know the view category of a deposit until after the exchange is confirmed and communicated to DVC. II does not know the view category but DVC does.

Maybe a glitch in the matrix...websites been treating me like crap today when I even try to access it
Me too. Tried to put in a week, but it wouldn't accept my check out date, kept defaulting to 2 weeks from check in. :confused3

I saw the same thing at BLT for June standard studio reservations. It was annoying but I attributed it to the refurb.
