Availability in July?

Hello, we are new DVC owners, passed ROFR yesterday and now waiting for estoppel. Can't wait to start using our points! We would like to do 4-5
nights in mid July at either a WDW resort or even HHI if possible. If we are able to book by mid to late March, what do you think our chances would be of finding something? We are a family of 5 and would be looking for a 1 bdrm. Thanks!

That will be cutting it close, but july can tend to be a slow season for DVC. Even looking at availability now will not tell you what will be open come july.

When you need a room for 5 that limits you to choosing studios at BC, BW, VGF, Poly, BRV, or 1BR that accommodate 5 are limited to - AKV, GF, OKW, BLT -- Not all 1 BR have beds for 5

Hopefully you can be flexible with your dates and if you can't find availability at a resort for your whole time frame -- look at piecing a split stay together (it might end up being a combo of room types)-- it might not be ideal but you will get to experience many of the resorts and disney makes it super simple to transfer (pack you bags,give them to bell services and head to the parks for the day -- poof your luggage magically appears at your new resort).

You should be able to get something, but as soon as you get your access to your account go on an book something. If you just passes ROFR you are still probably looking at getting your member number mid march possibly.

Thanks for the info. We're thinking that because we are flexible with dates, we should be able to find something, be it a split stay or switching from a studio or a 1 bdrm. Obviously it's not an ideal booking window but we'll have to work with what is available. Thanks again!

HHI is low odds, but on-site at Disney is good odds if you're flexible.

That is HHI high season and probably a problem there including because 1BR's are of limited number and usually book full even before 2BRs.

At WDW, if you are looking for early July, you will likely have serious issues almost everyhwere except possibly SSR. However, July 7 to July 31 is one of lowest DVC demand times of the year at WDW. Nevertheless, you are likely looking at booking 4 months out and thus could face serious issues for those dates, although likely 1BRs will be open at SSR, OKW, and Kidani savanna view (OKW and Kidani have the pull-out twin size chair to provide a sleeping spot for a fifth), and maybe a chance at BWV pool/garden, BLT lake view (also with the pull-out chair), and BRV (formerly VWL). Note, if instead you will be seeking one of those studios that sleep five, it will be more difficult to find anything.
