You know, this could be fun. We could talk about Joe's drooping eyes (that made them look beady) his poor make-up job which only cover part of the ruddiness (he is especially rudy around is nose and that should have been fixed), and his teeth were reminding me of Nigel Lithgo from SYTYCD.

She had a tad too much (or maybe just too dark) blush on those great cheekbones of hers, she blinked quite a bit and those bangs were hanging down to far on the left side.


Palin's bangs bugged DH also. I am sure she could feel it and it probably was bugging her also. My hair did that to me yesterday. I am glad she got it pushed out of the way.

But really, focusing on those things is rather shallow. There is hardly one of us on these boards who couldn't be picked apart for our appearance. I really think we should not go there.
I thought they both did a very good job. They surprised me quite a bit. I expected many bluders from Palin. I also expected them from Biden. I think they both got some things wrong and they both got some things right. I really enjoyed this debate.

One thing I have to say is that I really do not want to hear what the MSM, or what Katie or Tom or Bill have to say about either one of them did. I'll decide for myself, thank you very much!
I do not need anyone to tell me how either of them did or what they said or did not say during the debate. I heard it myself with my own 2 ears and I'll come to my own conclusions.

Biden connected with me and I'm a Republican. I though he spoke well about his accomplishments as Senator and his record. Her, not so much. As long as she could talk about Alaska, her family, or how John McCain is a "maverick" she was okay. However, she never actually answered how their ticket was different than Bush/Cheney, or how their policies differed. She wasn't able to clarify why, even though McCain has voted for Bush's policies most of the time, he is a maverick. If the McCain team put her up there to be folksy and "middle american" I think she accomplished that. I wanted to hear more about how he is different than Bush. I didn't hear that.

You think he has had hair plugs? Or you know he has? I did not notice that. Oh well. You think he had a bleph? I could see when he looked up that it looked like his hair should have ponytails on the sides and his eyes looked pulled tight and up. But his eyes looked so droopy to me that I thought maybe some sort of prepH was used or something, LOL. That sounds so disrespectful, I am sorry. I am just commenting because I noticed those things and you may have seen it as opposite.
I thought he looked tired and I am sure he is (as they all must be and they have a long road ahead of them too).

I did think Biden came across as much more approachable than I have viewed him in the past. I think he has a kind heart and that is just an assumption made from TV, of course.

I really don't think cutesy is the right word for her. Folksy, maybe partially the right word, I do not know for sure.
I find her very down to earth, likable, very approachable and refreshing. I find her very "real". I was doubting what I saw in her at first and tonight I was relieved to know that it is the MSM, the opposite side, etc. that were causing those feelings fro me, not Palin herself.
I think I'm a pretty average person/voter and I really, really liked her.

Me too. Even my most conservative friend was making fun of her by the end. And trust me, she is voting for McCain/Palin.

I find her terribly unlikable. Which is a shame because I like McCain. But Palin just turns me off completely. I'm really surprised that people find her 'real' because she is nothing like the people I know. The 'aw shucks' attitude drives me batty.

no consequence at all I know, but it just buuuuuuuuuugs me. It is too long and does looked curled. Weird.

It's possible that he has naturally curly/wavy hair--I don't know? I know DH's hair does the same thing when it gets too long, which is why he always has it cut very short. I hate that--I want wavy hair.

It drives me up the wall.. It's embarassing from an elected official and would positively mortifying as VP. I couldn't listen to her speak for 4 years.
