FYI - As of April 1, 15,000 points will be needed for cars/vans on the auto train. So, if you're planning anything in the next 11 months, you may want to book now. They also allow ticket pick-up now. So, your ticket is not sent to you and you can change it (the woman from Amtrak swore this was true). Previously the ticket was mailed and unchangeable.
