Automobile turn signals

Again on speeding.... Why is it that people driving faster than you are crazy and people driving slower than you are idiots?

I think the law in MD is that you don't have to use your turn signal for lane changes -- which bothers me a lot of the freeway. Usually when someone cuts me off with a quick lane change, they often have MD plates. At least with a turn signal I could have a split second notice that I was about to be cut off!!

Miko, I just noticed that you live in Bristow. So do I!! Are you in one of the subs along Linton Hall? I'm in Kingsbrooke.

the problem is (at least on 270 or the bealtway), if you put on your turn signal to change lanes, people will speed up and let you in.

i still do it, and i don't think not using your turn signal is right, but i can understand why people in this area don't for lane changes.

This thread blows my whole theory that all the nut case drivers were the "snowbirds" here in Florida, with the out-of-state license plates, who just do what they want, when they want, and where they want.

Thank goodness they're only here PART of the year. I think that's one of the reasons we don't mind the hot weather when it comes -- that means the "snowbirds" are going home!

Well the turn signals are not as bad as people who believe red lights and stop signs are beneath them! We have an intersection that I have to drive thru to go home that is always a mess because people keep coming into the intersection even though the KNOW they won't clear it before the light turns red (I mean it is yellow when they sneak in!) In the summer when my top is down I often ask them if the "red light did not have their name on it!" Kind of like the drivers who see a line of traffic (that they know is getting off at their exit) and try to sneak in in front of me. They can BUY my car, I don't budge. My time is just as valuable as theirs and if I sat in that line so can they! I am pretty immune to you flipping me off because I won't let you break line!
