Last time I was at the parks I saw a girl with a backpack autographed by all the characters. It was not one of those drawstring backpacks, but more like a Jansport regular school backpack. It was so cool because it had all the different looking signatures in different colors but all in the same place so you could see all the differences. I love this idea but I can't figure out how she did it in practice. It seems like it would be difficult for the characters to sign. I've searched the internet and seen a couple pictures but noone has explained it. Has anyone here ever done it? If so did you stuff the backpack? Leave it flat? If anyone has any thoughts on this please let me know! Thanks!

I was reading something the other day about characters and signing items and the suggestion was to have something flat and hard to place the item on. If it were me, I would bring a clipboard and lay the backpack flat on it so the characters have something to press down on.

I agree, find something hard but not too big maybe a small clip board or a small cardboard children's book. Although it would be hard to have Goofy or Pluto sign because don't they normally put it on their nose? I can't remember if it's because they see out of the eye's or if they see out of the mouth part of the costume. But I really like the idea! Or maybe stuffing it with a pillow would help but if I were you I would hate to walk around with a backpack that I couldn't even use for the day XD I'd rather get signatures and be able to use it to store belongings for the day.

I saw someone with this! They had a white Jansport backpack. It was the coolest thing ever!!! It was already completed when I saw it, but looked amazing. I should have asked how they did it.

My daughter has had the characters sign one of her backpacks. It is a drawstring type, but she had it done on a cruise, so there may have been more time for the characters to get it done, or they could have layer it flat for her.

I thought it was so cool too! I wonder if it was the same person? I am kicking myself for not catching up with her to ask!

My niece had characters sign her backpack:

AWESOME! So it looks like she just held it up and they signed it? Did they have any difficulty?

I think this is such a cute idea. We once had the characters sign a big white vinylmation.
