My daughter wants to do an autograph shirt this year. I was wondering what should I bring so the characters will be able to sign it easily? Also will they sign it if she is wearing the shirt?
Thanks

Characters will not sign anything that is being worn.

I did an autograph shirt for me when I went this summer. Shirts were much more difficult for the characters to sign. What we did was bring a clipboard (full size) and stretch the shirt over it. We then secured the shirt with binder clips so it was wrapped tighter and didn't give as much when the characters signed. It was easier for the face characters than it was for the others and we often still had to help hold it tight enough for them to sign with the sharpie we brought. Most of them seemed to have enough practice signing that they were able to compensate for the difficulty of signing on fabric and the signatures came out great.

We've done shirts before but found we hated carrying a clipboard around. Our last three trips we've settled on hats and our girls love them. They tend to wear them more when we get home and we've got a lot of comments on them. Have a great trip.

Or buy an embroidery ring. You stretch the part you want them to sign.

That's a good idea. I already have one so that would save me money by not having to buy a clip board.

My first post! I lurk a lot but became a registered user JUST to ask about this... then I saw this thread. THANK YOU! My boys have a fundraiser at school where they get money from friends and family who sign their shirts to wear during a run. I hate asking for money so this year we're taking the shirts to Disneyland and they boys get money from mom and dad for every character they get to sign their shirt! This is totally selfish because I am a scrapbooker and get great photos. Plus I'll bring my traditional notecards to have the characters sign as well... can't mess with tradition!

Anyway, thank you for the binder clip suggestion! That is JUST the tip I was looking for!
