Autograph Ideas Needed

So we've done the traditional Disney Autograph books and we're kinda over them and ready for something new. Last trip we bought an inexpensive ($1) 4x6 photo holder/booklet (soft, think of a pocket planner as far as material, etc.) and filled it with the best picture we had of each character after years and years of trips to WDW. While in line to meet a character, we'd flip through our book to find the right photo, take it out of the sleeve and we had a silver Sharpie that we asked the character to autograph the photo with. The girls thought that was great, but this year I am in school full time, working full time and running 2 active girls around to their sporting events and practices and I don't think I'll have enough time before we leave for their surprise trip in 3 weeks to go through all of the photos to find what I need. So, I'm here to find out what you might suggest that would be a little bit different and fun that is not too difficult to carry around a park all day (we have a SMALL backpack that we use). Your help is greatly appreciated!!

Maybe an canvas tote bag, a photo frame mat, a pillowcase. (you'd need a small hoop to tighten the canvas or pillowcase up to be signed).

We have contemplated the photo frame mat because that would be the coolest always-on-display item of them all, but we are afraid of protecting the corners while in the backpack. Any suggestion on safe storage while walking around the parks all day long with this in tow?

We have a camera backpack that has a laptop sleeve space. I love it because while traveling I can slide souvenir items that I don't want to get bent into this area. It's a Lowepro Computrekkor I bought years ago. It would be perfect or some similar idea for your mat.

Stores like Walmart and craft stores sell things like Aprons/bags that you decorate with markers and other things.

I had an apron signed by many characters a few years ago for a friend. But perhaps a tote bag would be better since you can use it?

you can also decorate it with other stuff before like Mickey's on top etc. :)
Also perhaps you could get a blank cell case at Joann's and have your most favorite character sign it with Sharpie. :)

Hmm. I also seen Visor's signed, Tshirts. If you get a frame mat signed you can create something great like pin showcase with a Donald duck pin next to the signature. :)
