We've always had an autograph book of some sort and a regular type pen, attached to the book with some yarn. But for this trip we thought we would try to travel lightly. Dd is older, 11, and not so into the whole character signings anymore. But she likes to get some. Thought the white hat she wears would make a nice autograph spot. That way, she could wear the hat and not have to worry about fanny packs. No fanny packs for this trip. Yeah!!!! But, what kind of pen should we use?? I didn't think the ball point pen would work too well on the fabric and I know how the characters feel about the Sharpies!!! I want to be able to tie it on a string and have it around my neck, with my camara case with my camera and passes and chapstick!!!! Any thoughts?

My youngest daughter had a princess ball cap type hat on once, and we ran into Belle, Esmerelda, Snow White & Sleeping Beauty all at the same time. She had them sign the brim of her hat with just the regular fat pen we had. It worked great. The only problem with the hat is that she wore it so much, it was getting dirty. She didnt want to wash it for fear of the autographs coming off. So now we have a dirty hat. LOL SO just watch with a white one!! I think any type of marker will bleed on fabric and you may get an autograph that you cant read. Try putting her name on the inside of the hat with pen.. or use differernt types of pens while doing that. See which one works best !
