Autograph books?

Where did you find them? I am having a hard time finding them for under $9-10. :confused3 Were they spiral bound? If so, was the spiral on the long or short side?

Thanks!

I bought the one on the right at Meijer. I think it was cheaper b/c it was only a 4x6. But it had 100 pages (originally - I've modified it to fill out the one on the left for DS's next WDW trip in the fall). It was the perfect size. We bought one of those fat pens that had a clip on it so we never had to search for a pen. One quart ziploc bag later and we were set.

Mind sharing how you made them? I'd love to know!! :cool1:

We bought the bigger (4x6 or 5x8 forgot the exact size and they are currently at friend's house) unruled index cards from Staples (found Office depot had them cheaper AFTER already making them) and then punched 2 wholes in the sides to use the binder rings with. I used the foam sheets to make covers for them and made sure the foam were slightly bigger in case one of the kids dropped it so the autograch cards would not bend. We let the kids pick out stickers from Michaels to decorate the covers with (used 50% off coupon so about $1.50 for a large sheet of Disney character stickers) and then we used self lamenating pouches found at Staples to protect the covers and make sure the stickers stay on. These again reinforce so if they are dropped the pages are not damaged. For the index cards my friend used stickers of the main Disney Characters while I will be using the computer to place graphics. I have more time since we leave in October and she will be there tomorrow (I so wish I was with her). My 11 year old dd has a Tink one while the 6 year old has Chip and Dale. My friend's kids and nieces have Chip and Dale with cars for the boy, then Princesses and Tink for the girls.

I don't think I missed anything but if I did I am sorry. I also plan on finding color duct or other strong tape to tape the rings so they don't pop open. We also use ziplock bags to protect them. I would post a pic but have no clue how to even after reading the FAQs on how to so sorry there.

ETA: When we return we will take these apart and then make their scrapbook/photo album including the autographs. I so can't wait for this trip.

Thanks kwitcherkicken99!!! That is EXACTLY what I am looking for! I want the smaller ones so they are easier for the kids to handle. Besides, its cheaper to decorate less space! ;)

I don't think I have a Meijers near here. I will have to google it and see if I can find a location.

I just bought a sketch book at ACMoore which I think is identicle to one she (kwitcherkicken99) decorated. Just look at any store in art supplies at the sketch pads.

Definitely don't invest too much money in them unless you know your kids want to stand in line to get autographs. I bought the autograph books before we went because the kids said they wanted to get autographs.

Well, after seeing the lines to wait to get autographs my kids decided they'd rather spend their time waiting in line to get on a ride. :rolleyes1 After the first day I stopped carrying them and we didn't get one autograph not even at the character breakfasts (lots of photos though:thumbsup2)

The only good thing was I sold the books on e-bay for more than I paid for them.:rotfl2:

ETA - the books are $6.95 on disneyshopping for the basic book.
