I'm working on mine right now, but we went in Jan. Here's what I did knowing I couldn't work on the autograph book and keep the secret from the kids.
I bought premade cards at Hobby Lobby. They had a nice big hole at the top already, came 20/pack. I put a red ring through them and prettied it up by stapeling some decorative ribbon on the ring. I places a small sticker on some of the cards for characters I knew we would see (and had small stickers for).
We took a clipboard w/ us everyday. It served two purposes: 1. surface to work on homework while standing in line waiting for ride/show to start 2. surface for CM to write thier names. The cards were a bit small for some of the characters w/ costumes, but Goofy was the only one who told me about it (twice

). I had several comments that it was a good idea b/c it didn't weigh much, and was cute.
So now that we are home, I"m using the card on one side of the book, and the picture of us getting the autograph on the other. The rings become the binder and heavy cardstock is my backdrop for some of the happiest scrapping I've ever done.
But I'm still a scraplifter, looking for ideas that impress me. I thought
this autograph book was cute. Looks like it's spiral bound.
I chose a 6x6 book.
We saw 29 characters the second week of Jan BTW. So, be prepared. I made a run to the store to buy more cards the day before we left. So glad I did. We didn't see Mickey until day 3 of our trip. How terrible would it have been to not had a card for him to sign
Hope that helps.
