Autograph book on a ring...too hard to hold?

I am printing autograph cards on cardstock. I was thinking of punching a hole in the corner and putting them on a ring. My concern is they might bend easily and that they will be hard to hold and sign by costumed characters. Any advice?

This is what I have done for nearly all of our trips over the past 10 years. We simply put the autograph pages on the rings inside a gallon storage bag. That way when we put the autograph cards in our bookbag, the plastic bag protects it. We also keep an assortment of different colored sharpies in the plastic bag as well.

You might use a piece of elastic sewn into a loop like a ponytail holder to put around the stack (still on the ring of course) while storing in your back, or carrying around. After a character signs a page turn to the next page moving the elastic. The elastic would help the pages stay put while the character signs too.

I had done that for an autograph book a couple years ago-- on cardstock with a ring. I didn't find there was any trouble holding it as far as the characters went, and a lot of them even got a kick out of the custom made book!

We have done that many times and just kept them in a quart-size ziploc. I had printed 4 cards to an 8 1/2 x 11 page. No one had a problem holding or signing. This year I found a 4x6 album at Walmart and am sliding the cards in there. (I printed them at Snapfish when I had a free code.)

This and this. I make a back for mine out of a sturdy piece of cardboard covered with cardstock. We've used these every trip . Have fun creating!!

I made mine on card stock and kept them in a ziplock bag, too. I bought a mini clipboard to put the card on to make it easier to sign. It worked perfect. The clipboard was just the right size to hold the card. I left the cards separate in the ziplock Baggie until we got home. Then I put them together.

I use Bristol Board which is a little heavier than card stock. I have used 3 1/2 x 6 and 3 x 5 1/4 . Characters had not had trouble with the sizes. I do usually carry a small sketch book or other firm surface to make it easy for them to write. I slip them into 4x6 photo sleeves after.

Mine will be 4x6. I have another question! Do you take all of the cards with you or just the characters you expect/think you might meet? These cards are all pre-printed with a lot of character images.
