Auto-train Question

Has anyone ever taken a Suburban/Silverado on the auto-train. We're unclear as to whether our Silverado (extended cab/regular bed) will fit width-wise. It says it can't be wider than 7 feet, but it is 8 feet with the mirrors out, but if we fold them in, its within the 7 foot limit! Is this allowed?

I 'believe' the measurements are regarding from the outside of the tires. Like, from outside tire to opposite outside of tire on other side. I would absolutely call 1-800 usa rail and ask directly. Or even call the autotrain station. I 'think' your truck is fine, but call and ask.

Thanks for your reply. We did call. And they said we're good. Something about signing a waiver and we'll have to fold the mirrors in.
