If they told the insurance adjuster the truth, the answer is no, they will not pay for deliberate damage (nor should they). Of course, they could lie...
I think that I should post all the stupid questions that I hear from my coworkers kids. They call her all the day long. This morning, it was the cell phone through the windshield and when she said "I don't know if the insurance will pay for it. Call your sister?" I was thinking, "really, is that even something you'd have to question?"
The younger sister apparently works for an insurance agent. (The older sister apparently broke the windshield and the first person she calls is the mother.)
Last week, the brother had some car issue and he called mom to find out what he should do. He has no clue how to do anything for himself.
Now these "kids" are all in their 20's. I suggested a AAA membership might be a good gift idea.
I cant imagine wanting to submit that claim and risking my rates going up. I think I would just pay for the repair myself. Sometimes you have to think long term.
