Austin was put to rest today..

Wow! That was hard to watch. God Bless him and his family.
Maybe we should all slow down a bit and really notice who takes care of us when we are at WDW or anywhere for that matter.

Hi!

Thanks for posting this! This is so very tragic.

I hope Austin Rests in Peace, he's in God's hands now.

take care.

Definitely very hard to watch. That was a guy who totally LOVED his job!!!

Wow, that young man was a very special CM. Prayers for him and his family.:sad1:

very hard to see indeed, but also a testament that he was a magical CM and very good at driving the monorail. I am sure his family will enjoy seeing the joy that their son passed on to many through this video.
Thanks for posting.

That video is just too sad.. :(

So sad..
And clicking a link off there... I read more info than I had before. That he tried to put the train in reverse when seeing the other pilot backing his up. Result of human error, and not even his :(
Sad.. and sad for the other pilot they are not naming as well :guilty:

Very sad to watch. He was a true Disney lover, the kind of cast member you love to see. He loved his job, got into the trivia of it and was great with guests.

Rest in peace Austin!

He Seemed Like Such A Nice Guy :-( A Real Shame What Happend :-(

He Is With God Now.

He Is In My Prayer

It is one of those things that stays with you..I guess we all relate to standing and waiting for the monorail and seeing those young people at the front..we just don't think that anything tragic can happen...and then it does.:sad1:

I couldn't watch the video because I'm kind of on edge right now emotionally and don't want to take a header, but reading the email from the family that shot it was absolutely heartbreaking. RIP, Austin.

Thank you for that link. It is clear that he loved what he was doing. I think that it is great that we all, thanks to that guest, can share in his love for the monorails. God bless him.

Wow- I will echo everyone else and just say that was hard to watch. RIP to such a great young man.....what a great CM....he made that little boy's day.....
