Aussie Fish Extender gifts?

Hi all. We leave for our Med cruise in two weeks. Our cruise thread is doing a fish exteder and we are taking part. I have had a go at cutting out micky mouse ears from black paper and gluing them on the outside wrapper of a caramello koala. I am not sure if it looks cute or lame. Any other simple ideas for gifts?

I've never heard of a 'fish extender' gift trade.

What about some eucalyptus lollies, Fantales or even just the clip on koalas (with Mickey Ears)

I think the caramello Koala idea sounds great, I am not to sure else what you could use.. trying to think of other than tim tams what my friends make me send them

I just spent the past 10 minutes trying to work out what a fish extender was, for those still wondering it is something they hang outside their doors on cruises and have people deliver mail too, or little gifts.

We did fish extenders in May and put in:

Clip on Australia koalas
Australia pencils
Australia keyrings
Freddo frogs
Redskins
Stickers for kids

clip on koalas or kangaroos are always popular. Caramello koalas as well.

Also "aussie" tattoos or stickers from The Reject Shop or like.

What is a Fish Extender ?

They are by the door of your stateroom on Disney cruises. They used to be only fish but now they have fish and seahorses on the new ship the dream. They are used by Disney Cruise Line to put mail and things they want to deliver to you. The fish extender or FE is a pocket thing hung from the fish. Disers join a group for their particular cruise and you deliver small gifts like a secret santa.

We had the mini cadbury bars with pictures of native animals on top as well as Australia pins from the reject shop.

we dont get involved in the FE programs when we sail, too much work, too much stuff to lug there & too much stuff to lug back.

but i'd be interested if anyone has photos of what other people [usa] give.....

thanks everyone. Furry friends are a good one - yummy chocolate plus the cute picture on the front. I am getting tired of cutting and gluing small black micky mouse ears so I think I will run with one micky caramallow koala per cabin and the rest furry friends.

We did the clip on koala's last time as well as Australia pens. This time I'm going to try and make something myself. We'll see how we go. I'll probably be running out the week before we leave desperately looking for something.
