Aussie Disneyland Planners come on in and lets plan together :)

OOOH! I forgot about Space Mountain! I'm changing my list!

Screamin
Buzz lightyear
Space Mountain

I've never done screamin looking forward to that.

Love Soarin, TOT and SPace, space is sooo much better in DL than WDW.

Also love the water rides I must say.

Oh, Everest in WDW was fantastic, one of the best.

Gee, do we have to limit ourselves to just three ? :upsidedow ;)

My "old time" favourites are POTC pirate: and Haunted Mansion.
My "new" favourites are Soarin', Screamin', Splash Mtn, Tower of Terror :scared1:, and TSM.

Not sure I can even limit myself to those, as just about all the rides in DL and CA have enough "joy factor" for me that I'd happily go on them over and over and over again :lovestruc

Cheers,
Sally :)

Top 3 rides at WDW are
1. Rock N Roller Coaster
2. Dinosaur
3. Test Track

Can't wait to go to Disneyland and see which rides there will be my fave's

So what PS are everyone making?

I've left it a bit late, but I wanted to make sure Blue Bayou would be open while we're there, but I want to go there again.

I also want to go to Hooks Point, Steakhouse 55, Carnation Cafe and Pizza port,

I wanted to go to Yamabuki, because we only got take away from there last time, but now it's shut :sad2: so I think we're going to head over to the Garden Walk, because I think there are some Sushi places there.

There's so many places there that I want to eat, but with a limited amount of days, we wont be able to fit them all in... popcorn::

How are you making your PS's? Do you have to call up each restaurant individually? I want to avoid this if I can as I can imagine the phone bills to call the US would be huge!

Wow, This thread exploded over a short amount of time! I haven't read through it all yet just thought id Shout out Hi! Nice to see allot of Aussies Planning Trips!

Well Im In Melbourne, Im off with Friends to Disneyland in October again, got the cheap deal with V Australia too and was too good to pass up. This is my forth trip in the past 7 Years, So become a pro now ;) In the past we have just bought AP's when we visited DLR because our base was Anaheim so it worked out the same as a 6 day pass. and we could go anytime after a day out go over for dinner etc. Not sure how it works now with the crappy exchange rate :guilty:

Im actually Frantically planning my trip to Tokyo at the end of this month Jetstar had $500 Return Melbourne to Tokyo via the gold coast So i had to book It! So will be Spending 3 Days at Tokyo Disney Resort at the end of this month. Just got back fro Japan 7 Months ago but it is so good! If your a Disney Park Fan you MUST visit tokyo Disney Resort! Especially Tokyo Disney Seas PHENOMENAL!!

Also ^ for Priority Seating Bookings at DL you can call a central booking line and do all the restaurants you want on one call. Same for WDW.

I've just been looking at the allmenus website http://www.allmenus.com/ca/ and I can't find any restaurants inside the parks or in the resort hotels. Am I not looking in the right spot? All I can find is the rainforest cafe and Mimi's.

Resturants inside the Parks that are sit down Restraunts (Waiter Service) are-

Disneyland- Blue Bayou, Carnation Cafe, Cafe Orleans and Club 33 (Private club cannot book)
Heres a site with a breakdown- http://allears.net/dlr/tp/dl/dl_rest.htm

California Adventure-
Ariels Grotto and Wine Country Trattioria

You just have to call the one number under Disney dining below, except if you want to make a booking for the Rain Forest Cafe, there's another number for that.

They're very helpful, and will try and fit you into the time that you're after for your meals. Just keep in mind that it's not uncommon for them not to understand some of our phrases. For example, if I were to spell out my name to them I'd say "R E B E double C A, and B E double N E doube T" They don't get the "double" expression :rotfl:

And remember to speak a little slower - Aussies and Kiwis speak a lot faster than those from the US!!! Use zero not 0 in numbers! Say twenty or thirty rather than the common twenny or thirdee as we will often use!!!!

When all else fails, as it did once to DH, take a deap breath and do your best John Wayne accent :lmao: :lmao::lmao:

All this is so true, they don't understand anything of what we say :rotfl2:
When I was in the USA another time a guy asked me what my name was, and I told him it was Rebecca, his reply was "how can your name be Rebecca? Didn't know the letter R was in the Australian alphabet" :lmao: because we don't pronounce our R's at all really.

Has everybody got their present from K-Rudd yet? I'm getting mine this week, straight into the Disney saving account :)

They don't seem to get our sense of humor a lot either. We are often a little sarcastic (cracking a joke) and they usually don't get it, :lmao: It's so funny.

Thanks so much for all your help re: Disney dining. I just had a PM from a US member on the board who lives in Texas and she has offered to make all my PS's for me and then just email me the details :)

aussietravellers, thanks heaps for that link. I have now printed off all the restaurants I would like to eat at and will show it to DF so we can decide on which ones to book. All the food sounds so yummy!

Yep, I have mine. Mine's going on a new digital SLR camera to take on our holiday :)

Same place that mine went :cool1: I did buy a new oven, though I was going to anyway!!!

I knew that we were going around the same time, but didn't realise how close until I just did my signature. NSW school hols start a week later than Vic, but we'll go a couple of days early. DD has their school production the last Wednesday night of that term, and we learnt from last year that over 1/2 the school has the Thursday and Friday off as well! :cheer2::cheer2:

:rotfl2:

And when you tell them Australia do they say "Austria?"

Wait, mine is better. I once got, when saying that we were from Australia, was........ "What state is that in?" (in the USA) :rotfl2:

A little dumbfounded "Ah it's a country, it's not in the USA"
