Oh, I agree too. Many times the girls picked for a given princess leaves me scratching my head. By no means does that mean the girl is not pretty. It just means she does not fit the role she is cast in.

On our last trip the Jasmine we saw at CRT was not middle eastern. Quite odd.

I agree, I have seen pics of another Aurora at CRT that didn't look very feminine at all. The Belle we saw at ETWB in December looked darker skinned than I would have expected. She was possibly Indian (as in from India).

IA. With the thousands of girls who go into those castings, surely it isn't difficult to find one who is at least a little bit close to the same ethnicity as the character.

I love all the new dresses though. The previous ones looked so frumpy and bulky. These look light and like they actually have MOVEMENT, which is what you see in the movies. The wigs do need work, but you can't expect it to come out perfect on the first go!

They really need to re-think the lipstick, or at lest go back to the darker pink..
That pale pink lipgloss doesn't look good at all..

Does anyone know anything about Cinderella's new costume? I know that this may seem like a silly thing, but Cinderella's hair in the parks has always bothered me. If you look at it in the movie, it is a much darker blonde than the platinum blonde they have her sporting in the parks. I've been hoping that they would get her hair darker and this seems like the perfect time to do so.

Where as I do like the new dress I think it's too pale. I really like Aurora (Sleeping Beauty is my 2nd Disney Princess movie) but they don't seem to get the wig right all that often.

The crowns better now, I agree with a PP when they said it looked more authentic.

With the talk of Aurora in blue, I was curious what her new dress would look like in blue. So, I tweaked a photo a bit (see below). Original can be found here. Personally, I like both the pink and the blue.

Seeing the different styles that were used for the dresses is so interesting. You have done such a nice job putting it all together, Berlioz.

Neverland Girl, I really like the tweakings in blue.

Also, I think the new pink dress is growing on me somewhat. It does flow well, but I agree with the others that said to darken Aurora's lips. Oh, I feel like such a nitpicker!

As for the looks of the two to come, I'm okay with Snow, though I hope the material is more like the new designs, and not velvetey like the older costume. Ariel...don't even get my started on that one.,..will be nice to see it without a clashing blue background....

I love the blue. Unfortunately, unless they make Cindy's dress closer to the silver that it should be, I think Aurora will stay pink.

I don't know that that Snow is quite right. I thought we had some previews a few months ago that showed her bow on the side, not right in the center as it is now.

If that's Ariel's new look, I'm not a huge fan. I will never understand why they don't ever have her wearing one of the gowns she actually wears in the movie. The pink one, the blue one, or her wedding dress...all would be better than the green, IMO.

That is actually quite beautiful. I think it's because the shade of blue is more accurate than the shade of pink is.

Thanks for the sneak peek! Can't see Ariel well enough to tell if I like it. But I'm not a fan of what I can see of Snow White. I just don't like having the sleeves the same shade as her bodice. It just looks odd to me. Here's hoping maybe I'm just seeing it wrong.

I know what it is I like about the blue one! It actually looks like it has long sleeves. The pale pink sheer is too close to skin tone so there is no contrast.

What a shame they don't invest in a huge lot of blue Rit Dye!

I'm not sure about how things look/when they were released, I just saw the tumblr post today.

I know the merchandise has Snow's bow on the side, and I know people were complaining about it a lot, maybe that had influence on it?

Ariel's look is a little blurred with the blue background, I'm interested to see what it looks like in real life1

Janet, I totally get that! It makes the dress look way better when you can tell there's actually sleeves, the pink bit is too pale on their skin

This is not my picture and I honestly don't know where it came from so I can't give credit but.... I think this looks beautiful. Too bad it won't be cold enough in FL for me to see it in person for awhile.

I like this one MUCH better.. The sleeves have better contrast..
And it makes the make up stand out more..

These pictures soooo do not do it justice. It looks much better in some of the others I've seen. I was as skeptical as many of you until I saw them.
