Must be due to the lack of international tourists and political influence from outside of Aulani. Less tourists = less families = less children to watch over. I’m sure much of the international audience made a last minute substitution to foreign Disney resorts or even no Disney at all.

I believe the original argument made by hardcorestitch was simply that the mix of customers is different and lower margin. The resort is always full, because Disney will always price the resort to be full, but if you're getting fewer luxury travelers from Japan and more locals on heavy discounts, the math doesn't work to keep Aunty's open in the same way that it was.
