Aulani Owners Thread - ALOHA!

FWIW I can confirm that the Alaska Companion Fare definitely works on Hawaiian Airlines flights now.
Amazing!
Also, has anyone else watched Chief of War with Jason Moma on AppleTV? I’m 3 episodes in and really enjoying it. It’s mostly spoken in Hawaiian with English subtitles.
Is it 10 year old boy friendly? We are always looking for things to watch as a family.

Nvmd, someone should ask at the meeting what that is
@AstroBlasters posted what it is. It's a fee to be part of the Ko Olina association. This site shows who and what is part of it. https://koolina.com/

Its alot of money, but Ko Olina is so much different than other areas of Oahu and I appreciate it, they have rules and It may help keep the area nicer imo. For example, although it's a public beach Ko Olina has certain rules in place that differ from other public beaches from what I understand, which is nice.

It looks like the budget is for 340 vacation homes.

Does this mean that they did not add any additional inventory this year?

Got it!

We recently decided to split 3 nights at Hilton Hawaiian Village and 6 nights at Aulani in a 2BD Villa in August. Hilton will allow you to book rooms that are guaranteed to be adjoining. We tend to go for the Ocean Front Corner Room and a connecting Partial Ocean View 2 Queen Bed in the Ali’i tower. FANTASTIC views of Waikiki and Diamond Head.

As disrupting as split stays are… it’s nice to get a bit of city life, some real waves, and have a short driving distance to everything on that side of the Island BEFORE going to Aulani.

Sounds amazing. Looking forward to your trip report come August!

The budget is based on the total (maximum) number of vacation homes that will be part of the condo association, whether they're declared into the association or not or sold or not. If the resort is not sold out, DVC makes up the shortfall between what the owners pay and what total operating and maintenance costs are.

I think that all of Aulani has been added to the condo association already, but I'm not 100% certain of that. It's not sold out, though!
