So we plan on alternating our vacations at both Disney World and Aulani for the next several years ( with some Vero sprinkled in). We honestly do not mind SSR, and we will most likely do a 1 bedroom when at Disney or studio if we have to. So my questions is, which should I make my home for the easiest of bookings, especially at 7 months out? I know the next few years will be nuts for DVC, but I'm planning for the longterm. We are buying resale if that helps! Thanks

I'd say SSR for the lower cost and the 11 month booking. Aulani is a bit easier to book at 7 months.

I agree unless you are more concern about getting Aulani in June, one of the few times of the year where you need home booking advantage.

I think for the most part, you can pretty much get SSR, especially one bedroom at 7 months mark. And for the most part, you can always get Aulani too if you are flexible enough at the 7 month mark. Having said that, SSR is probably the better long term economical buy in with lower dues, so I was just do SSR, unless Aulani is very important to you.

For me, I own two contracts at Aulani simply because Hawaii is much more important to me that WDW will ever be. But if it's WDW/SSR and Hawaii/Aulani is about the same weight, than I would go for the cheaper long term value, which would be SSR, unless you happen to get a subsidized Aulani contract, than the scales tip back over to Aulani, but those type of Aulani contract is harder to come by.

Good Luck on your decision.
