We just booked at Aulani for September. Has there been any information released yet regarding a spa menu or exursions that will be available? I saw the general information on the Disney website but there weren't too many details. We are trying to decide if we just wait until we get there to figure it out or look into booking some activities through other companies.

Start with www.koolina.com they have info on golf and snorkel tours.

I called MS two days ago about booking excursions and this is what I was told...

There will be three tiers of excursions. Tier 1 will be mostly generic things like snorkeling with other Ko Olina resort guests. Tier 2 will be for Aulani guests only and will be more of immersive Hawaiian experiences. And tier 3 will be a three day package with day one being some type of mountain activity, the second day you're taken to Honolulu to learn how to cook from a Hawaiian chef and you cook a meal, and the third day is some type of water activity. I was also told cast members are being trained for excursion within the week and the schedule for guests should be posted in two weeks.

Hopefully all of the information they gave me was accurate :)

Thanks for the information! This helps!

That is great to know, thank you! I keep checking on their website but so far nothing... I am very excited for October! :goodvibes

When I spoke to MS yesterday, I was told that I can book spa for our November 2011 even though the menu isn't out yet!? From what I understood you can be generic like massage or facial. I decided to wait till the menu was out to book.

This makes no sense! It seems like they are a little unprepared with this stuff when the resort is opening in just a few weeks.

I heard about the fee for _A_ lagoon... I dismissed it because I couldn't imagine they were talking about the ocean and thought maybe they were going to build a maintained mini lagoon or something but now that you mention it... thats kind of chintzy, isn't it? I "get" private beaches but I don't "get" pay for ocean!! We own our own gear so hopefully there is a discount... just bobbing in the ocean at various spots watching the fish is one of my favourite things to do!

I think they are talking about their man made snorkeling area by the pool. I am sure the regular lagoon/ocean would be free. It is the ocean after all! The man made area doesn't look very big so I am sort of surprised they are charging for it. Maybe it is a crowd control measure? If I am going to pay to snorkel I would rather see fish in their natural habitat.

OK, then maybe my assumption IS correct.. If I were to pay to snorkel I'd want it plussed in some way - again I'm used to swimming in their natural habitat for free off the coast so paying for it might make me cranky!

It also looks they are getting ready to add more information on the excursions. There are placeholders for the following pages.

Adventures of the Land
Flavors of Life
Heart of Imagination
Treasures of the Sea
