Aulani airfare

Doing something a little different. Flying out of SDF (Louisville) to PHX roundtrip with Southwest (direct flights). Cost about $450 roundtrip depending on how you hit sales. Spending the night in Phoenix both ways. Then flying Hawaiian air out of PHX roundtrip direct flights. Cost about $500 roundtrip with free luggage. Total cost about $1000 pp plus 2 hotel nights in Phoenix.

This was best option having direct flights and be able to sleep in a hotel on return flight instead of flying all night. We will see how it works . We leave in May.

Other flight options had us leaving Hawaii late evening flying all night and arriving in Louisville around 2:00 pm next day with lay overs. I prefer to sleep in a hotel then sleeping on the airplane.

I booked my mom and daughter's ticket in september for June chicago to Honolulu and maui to chicago for $960.the same route went up to $2000 the next month. I kept watching the price and it finally came down to $1200 last week. So I went ahead and bought my ticket at $1200 so we can be in the same flight

Family is heading to Aulani the first week of March 2012. Booked airfare in December 2011, $380 pp round trip on Delta.

WOW! I don't fly to Hawaii on a regular basis, but that is an incredible price. I don't doubt some people have paid that to fly to WDW.

We are going in June, I paid $810 per person non stop on American. A week after I booked the price went to $697 per person for the same flight. I wasn't too thrilled that if I had waited a week all the money I could have saved. However the airfare game is a difficult one to play. I had found a price I was willing to pay so I booked it. I just don't think about the price difference. Which by the way is still available.

Ohare to HNL was $424 on Delta for last week...just got home. We booked last March.

We paid $406 each person direct from BC; we are traveling in April

We're going the first week in March. We booked our flights in October 2011. Flying from Newark direct to Honolulu and we paid $964 per person. We're taking our whole family so we ended up paying $6,748 for all seven of us!!
