August....who's Going?!?!

Add us to the August list also. We will be staying offsite (a house in Indian Ridge) August 4th - August 11th. It will be myself, DH, DS (13) and DS's friend (13). This will be the first time for us spending a whole week at Disney!!!!

DH & I hope to be going August 10-13th. We have tickets to the Pirate & Princess Party for the 11th. We have our hotel (Free) and have our P&PP tickets. Now just to get enough money to get the Play 3 tickets. Made enough from 1 garage sale for 1 ticket. Plan on having another in 2 weeks to raise some more. I took just a few things to a friend's who was having a yard sale and did pretty good. But we have lots more to sell that we didn't get over to my friend's house.

I'll be there August 6 -12. I'm a little uneasy about these dates now. Thursday a girlfriend of mine called me and asked me to keep an eye out for a Southwest 'ding' (or any cheap rates) from St. Louis to Orlando. She finally convinced her husband to go to WDW with us. I told her that those dings happen far a few between, but I told her I'd keep my eye out. That same evening I go online to check my bank balance - and guess what - I got a ding! To my amazement, there was a ding from St. Louis to Orlando. The price was $70 each way. I called my girlfriend and she booked her family immediately. We then called Disney on a three way to book her room - at Pop Century with us. I was speechless when the CM said that the only rooms available were in the Saratoga Villas. NO value, moderates, or deluxe rooms available - ALL sold out!!!!! I can't believe that!!!

Disney has NEVER been this busy (this time of year) since before 9/11. I hope this turns out to be a magical stay and not mass confusion. I think with the bouceback program with free Dining and Disney extending Value Season to early August - many people are taking advantage of this time. I really hope this is not too much for me! - I don't want to complain too much too quickly - at least I'm going!

Besides Hot? Hmmmm, humor writer Dave Barry said our summer weather most closely resembled an armpit!

No foolin'! -- It's oven-blast hot and constantly sticky 'n wet--RIGHT NOW!

The water in our pool is 88 degrees. The Gulf of Mexico is 88 degrees!

Standing outside does not sound like a fun proposition.... suggest drinking WAY more water than you're used to & bring a 'sweat' towel!

My mother + 1 nephew (12) + 2 nieces (5 & 3) will be there Aug 5-8, staying offsite - Liki Tiki.
