August weather?? Historically

We're planning a trip to WDW next August 16-25, 2005... with all i have seen with Charlie, and Danielle on the way... waht is the weather historically during mid August?? should I be worried about Hurricane Season??

Hurricane Danielle isn't anywhere near Florida. So that's okay. I live in FL and I was just saying today how hot it was. Going in and out of places and in the car carrying bags, etc... yeah, that's hot. But in WDW it's different. You're in and out of attractions constantly (some getting wet) and with all that's going on around you.. you don't even think about the heat.


I got a little off track there.. but I don't know historic figures. I'll just let you know it's been about 90 this week with a heat index of 97 on some days. YIKES.. but it's ok.. really.. sound worse that it is.

Hopefully someone can give you a site with exact numbers.

Then click on the link to "accuweather this months recap". You can go back(I think 10 years) to see what the weather is like in August. Good luck with your planning we have been a couple of times in late September when hurricanes were around. Nothing like what just occured.
