Here are a few photos from my recent trip with my family.

Although this was our third time, this was my second time with a DSLR. Last time my camera got 'eaten' by the Jaws ride in Universal so this time I was able to shoot the world with a newer camera. I also took a tripod for the first time but only took it to the parks on the one occasion. :rolleyes1

My DW also took her camera (1st trip)and she produced some great shots.

Anyway, enough of the words and on to the photos...

I made use of the fence as a temporary 'tripod' for this shot. Looking back I should have waited for the boat to stop as it has moved slightly in the shot!

I found this lady very difficult to shoot and finally managed to capture her facing me with my last shot

Early in the morning on the way to breakfast at Crystal Palace.

The next two shots were inspired by photos I had seen published here...

Despite the parks being busy, it is great when you get to ride a virtually empty train...

And one last one for now, This was a quick point and grab as we were walking home while the parade was on.

Very nice Job! The framing on the shots is well thought out.

Thank you for sharing,

Nice job!:thumbsup2 The Lion King bird lady is always a tough shot. The lighting is poor and uneven and she is moving. Bad combination. Very good.

I was looking at your EXIF info and noticed you were shooting a Pentax K20D. Your lowlight shots are better than I would have anticipated from the K20. I have two K10's and I just recently purchased a K5. The K10 would not have done as well. Again, nice job.

Thanks for all the nice comments.

Gianna'sPapa - I found with the K20 I can go up to 3200 ISO and use Lightroom to remove noise and still have something reasonable but 1600 would be my highest ISO of choice. My wife with her Kx was able to get good shots from 6400 ISO.

theduck619 - looking at my exif data for the Mission Space shot, I shot F9.5 1/180s ISO 400. I used a Tamron 18-200 lens which was used as a walk around lens for Disney. Not the best quality out of the bright light but great for being able to have a nice range to shoot with.

Here are a few more photos...

First from Finding Nemo (one of my favourite shows). I am glad to get this one as Marlin is moving around quite a lot at this point.

Another Nemo shot, this time using a100mm lens to get close in.

I mentioned the I only used my tripod once on the trip so here are a few photos from when we went around World Showcase after Illuminations had finished...
