All good things must come to an end, and today our visit to WDW is one of those things. Oddly, I was the only person who went for one last swim. The guys went and got breakfast while I did so, and then we all returned to the room to finish packing and getting dressed for the trip home.

We had left a lot of time for getting to the airport, because we remembered the last trip where it took forever to get through check-in and security. This time, it took about 20 minutes to get checked in, so we had about 3 hours. We stopped at the Cinnabon to get snacks. The guys had cinnabons and I had a pecanbon. Admittedly, it's been years since I've gone to a Cinnabon, but I don't remember the ones in Canada having pecanbons. I'd probably go more often, so I'm not going to find out if they have them here now.

Gettring through security was fairly painless, except for DS who had metal supports in his shoes, and metal snaps on his tearaways. I half expected them to make him take off his pants. :jester:

I noticed Air Canada seems to be trying to bring customers back by reinstating small luxuries on the flights. Our last 3 flights between YYZ and MCO, there were only short subjects shown. Returning home, we had Bruce Almighty (not that I really count that as a luxury, but the return of feature films is a nice perk. You don't pay for earphones on Air Canada). And the hot meals are nice as well.

Our housesitter was waiting for us at the airport, and we were glad to get home and see the pets.

General Observations and Tips

The Disney bus service we experienced overall was excellent, right up until Sunday. Until then, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for transportation, except for when thunder closed the boats.

The boats to DTD are excellent. After 4:00 they run every 15 minutes, like clockwork. It is nice to have an actual scheduled time, so you know when the next boat is.

Always make them give you the PS!

Always carry your ponchos.

Don't push yourself too hard. If you're tired, go back to the room and rest.

The crowds for the last week of August really are minimal, except for the EE park. It is really good advice to park hop, when the EE park gets crowded, because every where else the waits will be minimal.

hope to be able to try a few of the places you went to next spring....thanks again and welcome home
