Animal Kingdom is my favourite park, so waiting to go there this long should qualify me for sainthood (yeah right). No swim this morning, it's going to be a very long day.

We stroll into the grounds, and over to Dinoland USA. First stop, Primeval Whirl, since we haven't done this one yet. Fun, but not as much fun as expected. I had expected more twirling. Then Triceratop Spin. Yes, it is the same as Dumbo, and Aladdin, but when we were here last time, DS had wanted to ride it, and the CM went through a lot to arrange the accessible car for him, but the cast wouldn't let him fit, so after much ado, the ride had to be abandoned. This time, no problem.

Next was time to get Dinosaur FPs and drinks. The FPs were for some time away, so we decided to head to different lands. On the way, we noticed Tarzan Rocks just letting in. Since we had intended to see more of the shows this time, we went in. Quite entertaining, although I don't understand how people can decide to leave before the show's over, but stop and stand in the aisles to block the view of anyone who happens to be seated behind them. How rude.

Then we went to Asia for Flights of Wonder. Wow, I really like this show, especially the fact that they don't train the birds to do unnatural things. Very cool. Then we hit the trail to see bats and tigers. The bats are my favourites, they're so cute. After this, we had lunch at the chicken stand. It was one of those weird situations where eveyone ended up wanting what someone else got. DH and I had the stir-fry, but were most envious when we saw DS's Thai Beef salad. And vice versa. :p

Time for Dinosaur. This was more fun than I remembered, although I think it is more entertaining for budding paleontologists like DS. Afterwards, we spent a few minutes at the boneyard, because I think it's the best playground at WDW. DS thinks it's okay.

Making our way to Discovery Island, we did ITTBAB. This is my favourite of the 3d movies so far (still waiting to see Philharmagic), unfortunately, my wasp stinger was damaged this time, and caused some discomfort.

My favourite part of AK is Africa, so we get to this last. We get FPs for KS, and do a little shopping, and get a little beer. Then it's time for our FPs. We saw, I think, more animals than we ever have before on this. There was even a sweet little baby elephant (no, not Little Red). By the time we make our way through Pangani Forest, the park is closing soon, and it's time to go back to POR.

On the way out, we stop to get pics and autographs with Lilo and Stitch. I thought it was very sweet that I got a kiss from Stitch. Completely unsolicited.

We get back, and go straight to the lounge where we can order yummy snacks and drinks, and have someone else bring them to us. It's amazing what you can regard as a luxury when your feet are sore. After this we go back to the room to freshen up, because we have big plans for the evening.

We have neer seen Spectromagic or FITS, and both are showing tonight. Since MK is open until 11, we decide to head over about 7:30, catch a few rides and see FITS and the 11:00 Spectro.

Arriving in MK, we head off to AdventureLand. DH wants to POTC, but the line seems longish. Group huddle, DS want JC. I've heard this is different at night, so I'm all for it. The wait sign says 25 minutes, but DH says no way it's that long. He's right. Fifteen minutes later sees us on it. It really is different at night. Way cool.

Next we check out Pirates again. Sign says 20 minutes. It's incorrect here as well. We walk right on to a boat. We pause to shop, and then it's my turn to pick a ride. I choose Space Mountain.

Unfortunately, the line is 70 minutes long when we get there, so we go on TTA instead. After this, we catch FITS from Tomorrowland. Excellent!

We check the line for SM again, and get drinks. Then it's time to find a spot for the parade. We end up in Liberty Square where the parade turns. Good seats except for the people who show up after the parade has started and move in front of you and stand. This I don't understand, since no one would be blocking their view if they sat. Anyway, it was worth the wait. What is it about lots of lights that brings out the child in us. After this, back to POR, and straight to bed.

Next - Day 7 In which we get a surprise
