August/September Disneyers...let's get in shape for our trip!!

Down 14lbs :cool1::banana::banana:

Managed to stay away from all temptation this weekend. I am determined that this will be the last diet I will ever be on!!!!

Tried to ride a bike the other day. Just a hint, do not ride a bike with a seat too small for your bum. I was brusied in places that should never be bruised:eek:

:lmao::rotfl:too funny!!
YAY on those 14 pounds! AWESOME... you are an inspriration!!

I'll have to Google that, the Biggest Loser summer challenge!

It's actually a thread on the WISH boards here :) I just joined it for my first time ever, thanks to Tara!! I'm so excited about getting started. You should come join! For me, I think it'll be a great way to keep on track on a daily basis :woohoo:

How is everyone else doing? So far, I've been pretty good this week. I did eat a little too much yesterday :guilty: But I plan on making up for it today with a little less food-wise and a little more exercise-wise. So far I've been on track with food and I did 40 minutes of Pilates this morning :) Really getting excited about it this time around!!!

Yeah on the 14 lbs. and :lmao: on the bike seat. That is an exquisite (and NOT in a good way) pain.

Are you weighing at home too? I can't even taste a treat or I'll eat the whole thing, lol! Jumping rope sounds like fun!

I try not to. I don't have a digital scale so it's not as precise as the scale at Jenny Craig so the losses aren't as obvious. Hmmmm...maybe I should get a digital scale.

I just ordered a mini-trampoline from Amazon. I work at a school and was fooling around on the one we have for the kids. FUN!! I have to fess up that I HATE being sweaty. I am looking forward to bouncing/jogging my little heart out on this thing in the sweet, sweet a/c -- as well as mastering the jump rope, again.

Anybody else work out on a trampoline? Tricks and tips to share?

The York Peppermint Patties that are in the freezer are like Sirens calling me to crash on the shore of failure. :sad2:

So, I though I should catch up on this thread to inspire me to behave myself and not give in to those wonderful little minty patties of happiness and comfort. :guilty:

Anybody else looking forward to a particular WDW treat in August? I really love eatting the big preztels. I know I could get them anywhere but they are so much better in WDW!!!

Everything is better at WDW :) The thing I'm most looking forward to is a rice krispie treat with the ears dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. The simple stuff always satisfies me, I love that part  I'll be trying my first Dole Whip this time around, I'm so excited!

Hope everyone had a great holiday. I haven't been around much - work has been so busy. Lots of deadlines and not enough time to get it all done. I even worked Sat and Mon. We went to a friend's house on Sunday for bbq food. I did not overeat but I did try everything I wanted to - just not in excess. I even had a small brownie with some whipped cream. I can't remember the last time I had just 1 brownie, and a small one at that. It's been super hot the last few days and I think I'm bloating a bit, but I should still see a pound or two loss this week. Really 1-2 is all I'm hoping for each week now - anything extra is a bonus. This weekend is going to be a challenge. We are meeting friends at Hooters on Friday afternoon - "naked" wings, no beer, no fries for me. Then on Sat we are going to the shore and will be getting my favorite pizza in the world. Thankfully it is thin crust and I'll have diet soda or water and I'll also get in some walking on the boardwalk.

We might join our local swim club as weekend members. If we do, that is some extra motivation to stay on track. I don't mind wearing a bathing suit on vacation in front of strangers but these are people we see around town.

Hi! I'm loving the action on here this week! I missed a day (helped my mom move yesterday evening) and there are tons of posts!! Love it!

Sarah, like the jumping rope idea! My daughter loves that so I might get myself a rope too and we can jump together!

Kaiti, I'm so glad you joined the challenge too! Yay! I think it will help because we'll HAVE to send in our weights every Friday. It will motivate me to stay good all week! Jen, as Kaiti said, it's just a W.I.S.H. thread, everyone is welcome to join. Our first "weigh in" is Friday.

Cathy, I love that you are still rocking! As Nyc said, INSPIRING!

Stephanie, join the swim club! I love swimming (something else I should do more of) and my mom told me once that we can't stop living because we're worried about what we look like. It will be worth it!

As for the Disney treat I'm looking forward to most...not having to cook! I know that's not what you meant, Cathy, but I'm so excited to have 8 days of not worrying about groceries/making meals! I can't really say anything else because I don't remember what "treats" I got when I went at 10 years old and I think I was too broke to splurge on junk food when I went when I was 21. Once I go this year, I will definitely let you all know what my favourite is!

What is a Dole Whip? I've heard about them, does everyone love them?

-Tara

Tara-A Dole whip is a soft ice-cream treat... "pineapple-y" and refreshing... I think it helps being that you can only get them in the Disney (I think:confused:).
Somebody else may be able to describe it better as I haven't had one in about 4 years!!

I love the Mickey Mouse shaped chocolate covered ice-cream myself! I know the same as any of those treats, but they are so cute shaped as Mickey!!

I haven't lost any more weight, but I have been more active this past week. So, at least I can feel better about moving more!

I should check out the main board, I have this thread bookmarked so I come straight here, lol! Great job on the Pilates, I've heard it's really hard!

Throw those things away, lol :) I can't keep anything in the house that tempts me, I can barely go to the store alone because I'll try to buy myself a "treat"

I would describe it as a lightly flavored pineapple sherbert in soft serve form. Yummy!

Things with me have been difficult the past few days, a lot of beating myself up over the amount I gain over such a small amount of time. On Sunday I am going to see family members that I have not seen since last August when I was 40 lbs lighter than today. I'm dreading it. There are no Spanx in the world that will hide an extra 40 pounds! :lmao:

The good news is that I'm down 7lbs now :)

That's great! Congratulations!

I usually post my progress on Thursdays for you all but I'm switching to Fridays since that's when I have to report for BL challenge. That gives me one extra day to see more movement! Here's hoping!

-Tara

Reporting a 1lb loss this week. Had hoped for two but not in the cards. The 90+ heat was tough on me and I think ended up a little bloaty.

Great Job:thumbsup2

Congrats on moving that scale in the right direction.:cool1:

Tara... I love not have to cook on vacation too! It is such a nice break from grocery shopping ,meal planning, and cleaning a kitchen.

Weirdly enough, I'm down another 1.4 lbs. What is it with that number? That puts me at an even 185.0 lbs for the official start of the Biggest Loser Challenge. I'm good with that!

Congrats on your pound Stephanie! Moving in the right direction is definitely something to celebrate!

Happy Weekend everyone!

Okay, I'll report my weight on HERE, but I am hesitant to report it on the BLC thread. It's not that I don't like the ladies (and gentlemen if there are any!) on the other thread, I just think we got a good thang going over here, lol. Plus Tara did it too, so I have a little more confidence in telling you guys  My start weight for BLC is 192.5. My goal weight for September 18th (the day we check into CBR) is 160. I had to make a short term goal that I felt was very doable, since looking at the scale and thinking "Somehow, I've gotta get this thing to 145..." wasn't working for me. It was WAY too intimidating! But today starts a new day and a new outlook that I WILL get it to 145...it'll just take me a little bit :goodvibes

So excited to start really seeing it all come off!!

How is everyone else doing? Riverhill, do you sell your movitation and willpower in little bottles? Because I would love to buy some if you have extra, lol!

160 is my ultimate goal, but I'll need to lose more than 35lbs to get there  When I get down around 180 I'm going to go in for a tummy tuck consult--I'm very excited about that after having 6 kids, lol.

Scale showed another 2 pound loss this morning :woohoo:

Anyone have an outfit they are looking forward to wearing, or is everyone going shopping after they get to goal? I have a pair of white shorts and a blue shirt that I want to wear, it's my goal outfit. If I can fit into it in Sept, I'll post a pic of me in it :thumbsup2

I would love to buy a sundress to wear in WDW. I still have the jeans I was wearing when I met my Husband. I would love to fit in to them again!

I started at 195lbs and my weigh in yesterday was 180.5. I hope to be below 150 before August 20 when we leave for WDW.

JacksLilWench... My motivation really comes from the fact that I have to weigh in in front a the doctor 3 times a week, Plus my entire staff knows I am on a weight loss program so they are always asking me how much weight have I loss when I get back from the weigh in's on my lunch hour. Public knowledge of my efforts have helped me stay on track. But, it is sooooo hard

But you're doing so great, so that makes it a little easier I'm guessing ;) You are doing really awesome, we're all so proud of you!

I don't have a specific outfit, but I have a size goal. Short term is a 12, long term is an 8. I've never been a Skinny Minnie, so I don't have any small clothes ::MinnieMo I will soon though! I'm thinking more about swimsuits right now. They all "fit", but none of them look too good on, lol.

Yay about the 2 lbs!

My goal outfit is a tight-fitting dress my mom bought me a few years and 20 lbs ago. I tried it on and thought, this will look amazing if I lose 10 lbs. It's been hanging in my closet while I've been GAINING! I can't wait to actually wear that dress for the first time!

I did a 45 min walk/run this morning and gardened all afternoon. Feeling good!
