August/September Disneyers...let's get in shape for our trip!!

I would just like to say everyone on here rocks! You all are doing so well! Congrats to you all! Have a question.......has anyone tried the cardiac 3 day diet and if so what do you think???????
 

Yay about the 2 lbs!

My goal outfit is a tight-fitting dress my mom bought me a few years and 20 lbs ago. I tried it on and thought, this will look amazing if I lose 10 lbs. It's been hanging in my closet while I've been GAINING! :laughing: I can't wait to actually wear that dress for the first time!

I did a 45 min walk/run this morning and gardened all afternoon. Feeling good!

Hi Guys! I haven't had much to report on the weight loss front for a while, but I did lose a pound this week. I've read the last page of this thread and you guys seem to be doing great! Have a good week and here's to pounds lost!
 
Joining!! I am deathly afraid of needing, a seatbelt extender.So with that being said,I joined Ideal Protein, the first week of April.Since then, I have lost about 23lbs, kind of fallen off the wagon, but this week is a new week, and I am hopping back on! I would love to be a size 18/16 when I go.











 

Well I knew that I had more than 1lb to be missing last week. Even after my chicken wings and pizza at the beginning of the weekend, I weighed myself this morning and I was down another 3lbs. We'll see whether that sticks with me until Thurs morning or even if it gets bigger. That would mean I'm already at over 10lbs gone.

What's really strange to me is that I haven't noticed any difference in how my clothes fit. I'm wearing the same work clothes that I have been for the past few months and nothing feels or really looks different. I know that weight has disappeared from somewhere, I just don't know where. Maybe in another 10lbs I'll start to notice some changes. Although a coworker did say she noticed my face looked less chubby. DH has also lost more than 10lbs and he is wearing some shorts I bought last summer that I never got to wear because they were too tight. I forgot to return them until it was too late but now I'm glad I kept them.
 
:wave2: Can I join ya'll? I'm currently a size 18. Would love to be a 16 or 14 by September. We are celebrating our 8th anniversary on this trip. I was a size 10 when we got married. :guilty:

Hi Tara! Just wondering how many miles you cover during your 45 min walk/run? I do the same combo, when I walk it's at 3.5 mph and when I jog it's between 5.0 and 6.0 mph on a treadmill. My goal is to jog 3 miles without walking at all and presently I can do about 3/4 mile without stopping.

Hi! You are doing way better than me. I don't keep track of my miles or speed but I'm sure I didn't run 3/4 miles. I just walk fast and jog till I can't anymore aka a few minutes, trying to build up endurance (definitely no natural running ability here!) My husband told me he's read a lot about interval training. It's supposed to be the best...you walk briskly then intersperse short sprints throughout. I think I'm going to start doing that.

I know what you mean about the clothes. For me, I'm pretty sure my latest 15 lbs gained this past winter went straight to my tummy and I've heard that you lose it first where it was put on last but I still feel like my tummy isn't where the (few) pounds I've lost are coming off!! I think you are right that we'll feel it in another 10 lbs for sure! Let's keep working on it! These darn clothes are bound to get "looser" eventually! ;)

I love Zumba! I did it last year at the gym and fell in love with it! I gave up my gym membership to save for Disney (and I wasn't going often enough to make it worthwhile)! I miss my Zumba class though!

I just did a strength training workout with my DH. Sore!! But I think it will be super beneficial to incorporate some strength training now that I'm already in a walking routine.
 
I'm really excited about it! I was telling the girls at work about it and now there's about 6 of us that are going to try it out! I'll report back, if I'm still breathing afterward. :)

Rough day at work. My manager is being transferred to another location. She has been a huge support since I came to this company and is the one who helped me start on my weight loss journey. I will miss her very much.

I normally would stress eat on a day like today, but instead I guess I will just have to deal with my feelings :sad2:

That sucks :( I'm so sorry. I know what that's like to have a member of your support team taken away like that. But we're always here to help you out :flower3: But don't worry...I'm sure you'll keep being super-duper successful!

Sorry to hear about that Cathy! Good job for not stress-eating. I'm working on that too! The last few nights I've been very busy with marking, which I used to make more bearable by treating myself to chips and candy. Not this week though! I haven't had a snack after dinner once!
