August - September 2013 Room-only Discounts

Hmm you were absent and the site was broken, then it started working just as you came back. Hmmm? Haha

That is a strange coincidence isn't it? Lol!

Sitting at the ball field waiting for another game to start, catching up on email, texts and, of course, the Dis :-)

Thank you for sharing!!

I have my heart set on three nights at the Polynesian after our Disney cruise celebrating 10 years of marriage.... this is awesome!!!

LOL I'm still not sure if this is a compliment or not. Ten years ago that may have been the case, but now it's hard to tell. Haha

I'm sure in the movie biz they would say you just need good lighting and a great cinomatographer!

I don't need all of that stuff - if you're legally blind I look exactly like Angelina Jolie :rotfl:

Oh is that how it works? "stand back, close one eye....close both eyes...perfect!!!" :lmao:

Oh, my avatar is finally working...

Hi..I have LM for 8/25 to 8/30..if a RO comes out, and LM is not included..is it worth the money to switch to POP? How much in avg do u save at 15% at values? Thanks!

Remind me how we go about doing this...

Have the ro summer disc for YC for 8/14 already....when they add the new ro discs how do I get 8/15 added?

Do I call and ask? Is that all?

FWIW we are doing a split stay between YC (our fam only) and SSR (with the ILs)

Thanks...I'm sure this has been asked like a zillion times LOL

You can call or go to the AP website.

I bet in average you save 15%. :rotfl2: Just joking! I'd totally need a calculator in order to turn that into real numbers.:lmao:

I am also booked for LM during the time period at issue. My question is a bit different:

Assuming the current promotion is extended, would it be worth it to upgrade to a moderate?

It looks like Carribean Beach is regularly priced at $195 during the time of my stay. Assuming a 25% room discount, that would be $146ish/night.

Is Carribean Beach mod stay at $146/night a worthwhile jump for us to make? I'm paying $121/night (if I remember correctly...) for AoA LM. Over the course of our 7 night stay, it will cost me $175 more to be at Carribean Beach.

This is our first Disney trip so I'm feeling like a fish out of water when it comes to these decisions. I'm leaning towards just keeping my LM room, but what do others think?

A couple of things can factor in here. How many people are you traveling with and what are their ages? Older kids and other adults would probably prefer CBR. Young kids would probably prefer AoA. The beds at AoA are doubles so it can get quite cozy sharing a bed. The rooms aren't tiny, but aren't exceptionally large either. The pools at AoA are nice, but there aren't any slides or anything. Again, marketing more to families with smaller kids.

Lastly, how much time are you planning on spending in the room? Are you going to the parks from early in the morning to late at night and using it to store your stuff, shower and sleep? Then stick with AoA. If you're planning to come back to the room often then you might want more space to spread out.

Personally I loved the AoA LM rooms and resort. It's new and fresh and the theming is awesome. We thought the room was small but comfortable for us and our two small girls. We could see when they get older though needing more space than what AoA LM would provide.

Good luck!

Thank you for these thoughts. This makes me think I def should stick with LM AoA. This trip is the week after my daughter turns 5, and it will just be her, me and my husband. She loves the Little Mermaid (as well as the other movies represented at AoA!) so I'm sure it will be a big thrill for her to be there! I'm just not sure how much "better" a mod really is, and whether it could make the trip seem more special? But probably from my daughter's perspective, we'd be better of at AoA.
