August - September 2013 Room-only Discounts

I called at 11:45 and got the resort I wanted, with the discount, and the whole thing took less than 15 minutes.

Not sure why it took some of you so long...

I booked on line. We booked POP for 10 nights and saved $212. Split 3 ways it's only a savings of $70 or so, but that's $70 I can spend on souvenirs or food! I will likely buy lots... I tend to do that.

Booked online for POR from 8/25-8/31. Looks like this is going to be our son's last Disney trip before college, so we're going to make the most of it!

we were booked for the Contemporary, Tower Room, MK view, 4 days/3nights with park hopper passes, no water parks...original price = $2700+

after todays discount that went down $100 to $2600+...

I just changed my reservation to Tower Room, Lagoon view, everything else the same...with today's room discount = $2052.....saves more than $500 going to Lagoon view, $700 from my original price...

3 1/2 hours but worth every minute... room only discount on the POR garden view that was reserved for 10 days saved almost $475. Great savings in my opinion.

Holy moly! Called for friends at 1:30 pst today and for the first time ever went straight to an operator! Must have hit it just right! Kudos to you for your patience!

I haven't been able to get online most of today since I don't have a smartphone so finally I just got the best email ever from my TA....saved $637 on our 5 nights in the garden wing of the Contemporary! Saving just paid for dining plan for 2 adults and 1 child!

Just saved $1120 on our 8/24-9/2 res at Beach Club. I was able to ad on tickets and dining!

Yay! Just got off the phone with a fantastic CM who found me some pixie dust and was able to apply the 20% discount to the last 4 nights of our trip (I have the 35% AP discount on the first 3 nights). I asked if he could apply a AAA discount to those nights, and he said "I can apply our current promotion of 20% which is even better!" So excited!!

Total room only savings of $1,204.06

We are coming in on 9/28 - 10/5. I called the other day and spoke to a cast member about applying the room only discount to my first day. He told me that the only way I could do that would be to break up my reservation - 1 with the 1-night room only, then the other 1 would be 6 nights with my package and no discount. I didn't think that was right so I said "no, thank you" and hung up.

I called back last night to see if I had the new free dining pin attached to my name. I didn't BUT I asked about the room only discount again, and the lovely CM was able to apply the room only discount to my first night without having to break up my reservation. I saved $53.70. Not the $1000+ I would've saved with free dining, but (as I am trying to look on the bright side) - some savings is better than no savings!
