August planners, lets plan together!

Okay I braved Kohl's sale this afternoon and we're 99% packed. Just waiting for dh to finish with the car and go gas up. He's waited until now to clean the battery cable things. I want to get to bed early tonite so we can leave early in the morning. I still can't believe we actuallt going on vacation, much less wdw after we went last year.

I have to pack in secret for my two DDs and myself along with carry-ons. I'm hoping to have four bags and three carry-ons. I'm excited because this is the first year we don't have car seats or strollers!!

I can't wait my girls are going to be so xcited!! I've been working on their iron on shirts which are coming out awesome. I just have to get the rest of the stuff together. I think I'm going to start putting things in the bags this wekend because Friday is the big pack day!

I'm hoping there's going to be a Wizards of Waverly Place thing while we're there because the movie premiere's while we're down there. Anyone heard anything?

We are going for our last minute things tommorow. Trying to keep the kids busy and unsuspecting.

We're on the way! We spontaniously changed our plans yesterday afternoon and hit the road after dinner! We called and added a night to our reservation so we should be in Disney this evening! We drove 430 miles last night...only 630 to go! MK on Sunday!

We are leaving at 12:00 today off to see the BIG CHEESE 10 fun filled days at the CBR cant wait long over due vacation !!!!!!!!:banana::cheer2::cheer2:

Went and bought all of my travel size essentials for the trip yesterday, so that we can carry on our luggage. Hope everyone has a great trip!! :cool1:

Oh I'm so jealous - one of my friends is at Disney right now and she's texting on facebook where she is and what she's doing - that's cruel!!

I have so much packing to do I jus so want to be there right now!!

:teacher::teacher:We're here! The weather is good...no rain so far and lower humidity. The crowds are also very good in my opinion. I got great news from home that I got a full time teaching job, so we are splurging and adding a night at the Beach Club~:cool1::banana::cloud9::yay::dance3::teacher:

Congrats on your job!! My daughter just found out that she got a teaching position too! Instead of her going to disney to celebrate.... we are!! ::lmao: Heck, we paid for the schooling, we can celebrate that she's working!!

We are flying out Sunday the 16th.. noticed lots of scattered thunderstorms and chances in the 40-60% range. I'm not a Disney pro like lots on the follks on here, but can someone translate? In Ohio that means its going to rain most of the day and be pretty blah. Im hoping thats not the case for Disney.:confused3

Honestly it rains at Disney almost every day for about 10 mins at a time. You should always bring ponchos in case it does rain - but Disney doesn't close because of rain. You're in and out of rides anyway so what's a few rain drops? From what I've seen it takes a Hurricane for Disney to shut down.

Just bring extra sneakers and socks and keep them in a ziploc bag in your backpack. Then change over mid day so you won't have funky feet!

Hope everyone has a Great trip! I'm getting ready to pack. Has anyone checked in online yet?

I read somewhere on one of the boards not to check in online if you have any hope for some "pixie dust" I guess the CM's at the front deak can give you an upgrade? I'm not holding my breath, but I thought its worth doing a manual check in just in case? I'm packing the girls tonight and probably pack myself Thursday night. It will give me something to do while they are at their Mom's house.

Thanks for the extra socks and sneakers..if the DD's have wet feet i'd never hear the end of it :)

I have never gotten any pixie dust. Quite the contrary. Our original room at the WL had a horrible balcony. I couldn't see over it unless I was standing and on tip toe. We had to change, but there was nothing available until the next day. We had to stay packed for the night.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking that too.... I'm not doing online. I was upgraded last time so you never know.

we've been here since Saturday...not one drop of rain. We get so lucky when we go to Disney...very little rain, if any:)

We're leaving in a few days and I hope the weather stays the same. I'm not taking any chances tho. Raincoats were the 1st thing on my packing list!:rotfl:

I'm originally from FL, so we usually took that to mean be ready for a 10-20 minute thunderstorm and then the sun comes out and it's gorgeous but very muggy
