August planners, lets plan together!

You sound like us!! We're leaving in 9 days, driving through the night Friday night, spending a little time in Destin on the way and arriving in Orlando Saturday night but won't get to Pop until Sunday morning... and we plan on hitting AK bright and early Sunday morning!! so 9 days until we leave but 11 days until we're actually IN DISNEY....

So where are you staying? Sounds like you're arriving the same day we are (16th)?

Us too!!! We are staying at Movies. On the drive down we are stopping in GA to spend the night then wake up early AM and its 3 1/2 hours to Orlando. Gonna do online check in and hopefully get lucky they will have a room ready at 10AM not counting on it but hoping none the less. Cant wait I am so excited~~ So its single digit dance day for us (hehe)

UGhHHH! We leave this weekend. checkin at sports on sunday but dh can't decide if we're going to stop overnight or drive straight through. I want to start packing but all of sudden all my shorts are alittle snug. I hate menopause. So we leave in eighter 3 or 4 days and the ONLY thing I have packed is my dh's bathing suit. I must get off the computer and get my butt in gear.

Well, we have a slight change of plans now! Original plan was find a cheap hotel in Orlando outside of Disney for Saturday night and then move on to Pop Sunday morning. Just found a $69 room-only rate for Pop so now we're getting to Pop on the 15th instead of the 16th!! YES!!! So now we will leave in 9 days and be IN DISNEY in 10 days!!!

It almost doesn't seem real to be leaving in less than 72 hours! Our plan is to be up and out by 5 am , but I have been waking up at 3 am ....why not leave then? DH is not happy with this...in the back of my head if this works, we'll drive straight to Dis that day
I faxed my request for the baseball rooms and checked in online. All of the clothes are out and ready to be packed...yeah!

We are leaving at 3AM on Aug 15 from Baltimore and driving straight thru. We should get there about 7PM or so and will be staying one night at POP and then 7 nights at Kidani Village!! I am so excited I can harldly sleep already! How can I get through work this week and next??

Plans are set. (except for two of our ADRs that Disney accidentally cancelled ---- ARGH!! Thankfully I have a tenacious travel agent who is going to straighten it all out...)

woo hoo! just over a week to goooooo
And somehow I've managed to pack for 5 into 1 suitcase! Of course, having a washer/dryer in our room helps! DH rolls his eyes, but then grins when he realizes we're saving $25 not having to check a 2nd bag! Now I just need camp to end so that I can organize the kids' carry-ons. I've got a collection of Disney DVDs for the trip to keep them (and us!) occupied and in the mood.
Anybody have any good advice for using the bus system in WDW? We've always had a car or stayed along the monorail areas. Thanks!

you win... I could only do 3 duffel bags. One for our overnight stuff on the way down and then one for the parents (that's us...lol) and one bag for the kids. There are 6 of us total.

That's all we ever bring!! I pack for around 3 days & then wash while my husband takes the kids to the pool!! I am quite excited b/c I found 1 wash packets of laundry detergent -now I don't have to fill the 3 oz bottles!!! Someone here told me they have Purex 3 in 1 sheets, but I haven't seen any. I pack 1 quart size baggie for each of us & buy travel size "stuff". Now with the airlines charging for checked bags this is the way to go!!!

It is my goal to pack in all carry-ons. My two teen daughters always fit in carry-ons (but their clothing is smaller than mine!). I think that if we don't take the one cup coffee pot, I can do it. I'm sure going to try!

My girls and I get on the plan at 7:30 am CST tomorrow!!! I don't know who's more excited - me or them!!!! I understand we're looking at a week of afternoon thunderstorms as the weather forecast is 40-55% chance of thunderstorms each day.... we'll just be wearing those ponchos!!!

7 short days from now i will be in the magic kingdom. We leave in 7 days!!! So excited. And my family always over packs but we are flying southwest so we can keep over packing. Im sort of packed. I have some stuff thrown in my suite case but i think this weekend i will get it all packed up and then i just need to work all week and then we leave on friday!!
