Hi,
has anyone going in August this year still not booked their flights? We didn't book ours till mid-May last year, but am now thinking we should book sooner rather than later?:confused3

Judging by other people's experiences on here, I would urge you to book ASAP. I'm assuming you've looked into prices?

im going 1st sept and prices have been rising so i booked a flydrive with VH going into miami

I looked last monday and a flydrive to orlando for 2 adults and 2 infants was over £3000 withour car insurance!!!!

Haven't stopped since they came out!!!!!
We're booked into OKW from 22nd, but because the flight prices were so high, were thinking of going sooner. But USAirways are now offering flights on 22nd for £480! We have to be back on 4th Sept at the latest because DD'S start 6th form on the 6th

I wish I could be more decisive!!

We're flying indirect. Booked flights with Virgin to New York and then on from there to Orlando with JetBlue. That turned out the cheapest for us.
Direct prices are just shocking!

We booked ours a couple of weeks ago, 22nd August - 4th Sept, they were £420 with KLM/MartinAir. Haven't seen anything resembling them prices since. I would definately go with US Airways at that price!! We paid £550 with them last August! But we had a £300 voucher each with them so we just wanted to make sure we could use it. US Airways are a great airline! :worship:

It was May last year when BA released it's awesome 2-for-1 Club World offer (which was valid for loads of August dates), but who knows if it will come back this year. Doubt it. :sad2:

That's a really good price! We also have vouchers' with USAirways, which is why I have been looking at their prices, but we were thinking of using them for New York. They are for $150 each, so they would bring the price down to just over £380 each...
I'd be mad not to book them , wouldn't I??!

Thanks for your help:flower3:

I know I always say the same thing but it really is shocking! I've just had a look at how much my £416 flight is going for now- £900! :scared1:

Its great looking back when they have risen, just checked ours again

Roundtrip: £2,305.30 avg/person (£6,915.90 total) - Expedia Special Fare(no idea whats special about it)

We paid £1,170pp, total £3,510. Only a £3,405 increase:goodvibes

I agree, £380 is cheap recently. Virgin want £805pp returning Friday 3rd or £2,265pp on Saturday 4th:scared1:

Really?
Last time I looked at Virgin, they weren't even offering flights for our dates, and the dates they were offering were over £1000!!
Last 2 times we flew with Virgin aswell we were really delayed. DSIL flew out to MCO yesterday with Virgin, (one week late). She was delayed 3 hours at Gatwick, but still said flight took ages! Still at least she is there:)

Last time we had no delay but the 3 trips before that were all delays upto 3 hours each time. With good indirect flight times there is often not a lot of difference in getting to your hotel/villa.

I know. We always flew with Virgin, but the last time, Nov 2008 was a nightmare! We were booked on the first flight out of Gatwick, but because of delays, we didn't arrive at POP untill 1am Florida time!! We'd been up over 24hrs! Then the return flight was similar.
Last year we went with USAirways. The outward journey was pretty bad, via Philly; but coming back via Charlotte was ok. These flights are via Charlotte, so hopefully will be good:goodvibes
