Hi Everyone! My name is Christina and I am filling in for Julie this month. Please post your goal in minutes for the month of August and I will add you to our growing list of participants. Then, whenever possible, post how many minutes you have exercised for as of then. Please put the total number of minutes in the title of your post. Feel free to share how you came to the total.

I know I did a lot of thinking about my goal for the month, so I thought I would post some numbers for you.

Assuming that you exercise 27/31 days this month, if you exercise for:
-25 minutes a day, that is 675 minutes for August.
-30 minutes a day, that is 810 minutes for August.
-45 minutes a day, that is 1215 minutes for August.
-60 minutes a day, that is 1620 minutes for August.

25%-On Your Way!
50%-Half-Way There!
75%-You CAN Do It!
90%-Just a Little Bit More!
100%-You DID It!
Over the Top!

Thanks so much for running the thread this month Christina!! It definitely helps to keep me motivated to exercise. I managed to pass my goal of 1,000 for July so I think for August I'll make my goal 1,200 minutes.

My monthly goals vary according to my vacation plans. I will be home for most of August, so my goal is 1500 minutes.
 
Okay, seeing how our vacation is in September, I'm going to really challenge myself (yikes!) and do 1,890.

Thanks so much for running the thread this month Christina!! It definitely helps to keep me motivated to exercise. I managed to pass my goal of 1,000 for July so I think for August I'll make my goal 1,200 minutes.

My Dsis and I are leaving on our trip 9/14 so I'm up for trying to lose a few more pounds.
 
My goal is 1200 minutes. Down from last month as I get a few recovery days.

Starting it off with 169 minutes, 13.95 miles. Chicago RnR half! They say 13.1 miles, but my GPS said 13.95 so I am going with it. :).

So, 169/1200.

I am in for 1000 min this month. I'm at 30/1000 after a 30 min walk this morning. I'm schedule to work extra this week, so I need to figure out where I'll get my run/walks in and make a plan.

I'm in for 1300 min again this month.

I started my knee injections this past Tuesday, so hopefully I will be limping a little less as the month goes on. So far only minor improvement, but there are 2 more injections to go. At least there is some improvement, & the DR seems to think my hip will improve greatly after we complete the series.

Christina, thanks for taking on the job of running the Aug challenge. I know I don't get here to post as often as I should but just knowing all of you are here really does keep me motivated.

But I just wanted to stop by and say thanks to all for managing the threads and for all the support from my fellow WISH'ers. This really helped me. I didn't quite make my goal of losing 17 lbs. by our trip, but I did manage to take off 12. Maybe 13 by the time we leave.

You guys rock! Keep moving!!!

I ALMOST started the month without exercising, but finally finished my DVD at 9 p.m. last night! Better late than never!

I'm at 60/1000

I went for an hour long swim yesterday. Today I got up late at 9:30 because I was up till after 2am watching Heroes(:sad2:) and we left out a little after 10 to go school clothes and supply shopping, followed by grocery shopping. We just got groceries for the night and few extras and we were out till 5:45pm shopping. My feet are not happy feet after 7 hours of walking around stores but I'm not counting any of it for the challenge. I'll get back to my Walk Away the Pounds dvd in the morning.

I'm ready for my yoga and bed. :lmao: I never time those so not sure what i usually do. I suppose I could count it but not sure I want to. I'm trying to keep the challenge for cardio.

Thanks for starting the thread this month :)

This month, I will be filled with many emotions as our DD :hug: starts her college career at Clemson Univ and our DS :hug: becomes a senior in high school. I'll be taking full advantage of exercise to help me adjust to the changes ahead of me.
