Cathy - I just LOVE technology. I also finally got around to putting some new ringtones on my Treo this weekend and I'm lovin' it. Now that I've found another hosting service (Ripway), I can upload a lot more pictures and link to it. To give you an idea of me and technology.....to get ready for the Black Friday sales last Thanksgiving, I scanned all the store ads and cut/paste them onto a few pages, printed them out and took them with me so that I knew exactly what I needed to get at each store. I went with our au pair and we hit 6 stores in less than 3 hours.

Wow, I have a friend that is really good at shopping and bargains, but I don't think she utilizes as much technology. She does have a laptop and cell phone with her all the time.

Gee Eve - That beats using a highlighter . Brynee has her prom pictures scanned and will eventually post one so that everyone can see it here on the thread. Right now, she is splicing music for her dance solo. I usually have to defer to her or older DD to learn new things.

Okay...so, on a whim, I decide to go to the other Walgreens near us. I'm thinking that we must have had those batteries with the pins a couple of weeks ago. The batteries are on sale......but none with pins. Or so I thought. I dug waaaaaay in the back (cashier thinking I'm some kind of whacko) and found ONE! One, and only ONE!
But......it was MICKEY & MINNIE!!! Yea!!!! Now for the Tinkerbell....and I'd be happy as a little clam. Okay, a BIG clam.

Are the batteries with the pins a Walgreen's exclusive? We don't have Walgreen's in our area. I closest one I can think of is in FL, sounds like a road trip is in order to get batteries with free pins . That has to be one of the craziest thoughts I had in a while.
I checked Target this morning and they didn't have them.

We have Walgreens in CT Barb, a little closer to you than FL. There isn't one too close to where I live, we are pretty suburban. I have to drive 1/2 hour to Walmart, Target, etc. We do have a CVS and a Brooks in the next town for some things.

I don't see why they would be exclusive to Walgreens. They're just Energizer batteries which are available in most stores. The regular price at Walgreens, though, was $5.99. The Walgreen's sale price of $3.99 is really good just for batteries and the pin is a bonus! Hey, if anyone wants a pin, I'm happy to share! Just PM me and we can figure it out.

BTW, my sis called me and she said the Walgreens right by her house had not received their shipment yet (supposed to arrive on Thursday) so she got a rain check. When they asked her how many she wanted....she said "All of them!". She went to another Walgreens and did find a Mickey/Minnie one for me.

I think Barb WANTED an excuse to go to WDW!! I'm going to keep checking our Walgreens....but I really do think I must have missed them. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been just that one, way in the back. If I get more, Barb, you know I'll share!

I need to remember to call Disney Visa...still never did that.....too much going on lately. I wish I could just request it online. I hate making phone calls anymore!

Stacey you know me TOO well....and you also know that any excuse is a good one to go to WDW. We are actually thinking of going down Sunday, need to figure out what to do with DD for the week.

If you click on the "pink box" that's on the right side of the page (under the AP bar) it'll take you to a page where you can make invitations or picture frames - "Tinkerbell's Pixie Prints" - haven't tried it yet as I only have a black ink laser printer at work today.

Jessica goes on her trip to DC this week and someone has to mistakenly fly into restricted air space? They evacuated the White House and the Capital for 15 minutes, it turned out to be an accident - some guys going to an air show or something. DD's itinerary had her on a walking tour of the Capital building area around 10:30 to 12 noon. It could be that they didn't know about it, but people were running out of the buildings. I haven't heard from anyone so no news is good news. It is hard to let them go isn't it?

My friend who lives in Maryland called me to turn on my TV...she was out shopping when her DH called her but neither knew exactly what was going on. SHe was panicked. I told her it was a small cessna, and probably someone who was either stupid or lost, and she felt better. But If I'd had a child there on a trip, I'd have gone nuts!!
I was thinking later that it may have been "set up" to see what everyone would do. Kind of like a fire drill. But I was wrong.

Anyway....I wanted to remind everyone that my family and I will be at Disneyland at the Grand Californian on the Saturday that you get off the ship, leaving late Sunday.....kids have school on Friday and Monday......sooooo....if anyone can possibly stay for lunch even, I reaaaaallllly want to meet!

We have come to our senses and decided to stay home next week and not visit and . Oh well, there will be another time. But if my annual pass was still valid we would have gone in a heartbeat, it expired last month.

I ordered my new castle Visa card last night. I can't wait to get it.


Cathy, sorry you had to go thru that scare yesterday. Did the kids even realize anthing was going on in D.C.? I heard they arrested a student pilot and pilot that were from Lancaster, PA.

BY the way.....in case you're trying to judge when your documents might arrive....Mom & Dad's docs for the June 4th cruise arrived yesterday....23 days out....but not mine ...maybe mine will come today. Not that it matters, I already downloaded them from DCL and filled those out. Just need the luggage tags!
