August 6, 2005 Mexican Riviera..Who's In?

Vickie: Thanks, I checked our local ABC station's website and entered the contest!

Barb and Stacey: Are you giving any hints? Does it have to do with food :mickeybar ? Because I work in high schools, I hear too many /s/ words that really shouldn't be repeated :rotfl: I'll wait for hints and then I'll guess.

It comes from a joke Barb sent me.....but it is true that she is ALWAYS making homemade Key Lime Pie......and she KNOWS I would kill for Key Lime Pie........

You really won't think her nickname is as funny as I did. There was a sign outside a restaurant advertising their special dessert of the day, but they had limited space on their sign...so it said:

Strawberry Sht Cake

Don't know why, but it gave me the giggles.
I see our messages overlapped...it did have to do with food and that was one of my choices!!

Stacey have you been into the bottle of Banfi again?!? :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

Speaking of key lime pies.....I made them twice last week and once the week before. I may need to make another one this week just for Stacey :p

I love Key Lime Pie but I've only had it a few times, once in the Florida Keys (I think Islamorada?) The other was in a restaurant. :earboy2: Do they serve it in Palo?

Cathy

Cathy they used to serve key lime pie in Lumiere's for lunch. I had it one day, since the waiter told me I would like it. I didn't like it and told the waiter so, the next thing I know the pastry chef is coming out to me to find out what was wrong with the pie. They don't use enough key lime juice and it was not 'limey' enough for me. I don't usually order it when I go out for that reason. I'm too picky about my pie, it has to have a strong lime flavor and be yellow. Only true key lime pie is yellow.
It is so easy to make, that's why I make it so much. The recipe is on the bottle. I use Nellie and Joe's and their recipe.

Picky, picky, picky.........but I agree...nice and "limey"!

Hi hzj77hv: Welcome to the thread :wizard: My name is Jenny; my daughter Brynee (16) and I will be on the cruise. Let us know who's cruising with you!

Stacey and Barb: You 2 keep talking food! Key Lime Pie sounds good to me...I really haven't had homemade KLP, only from Marie Callender's - I'm sure it's not close to being as good as yours Barb :teeth:

Brynee passed the CA high school exit exam on her first attempt :cheer2: - with a perfect score on the English section :cool1: Glad that's behind her; in a couple of weeks she'll take the SATs :)

Have a great weekend everyone :sunny:

Welcome, "hzj77hv" !!! I'm Stacey. I started this thread, but I am not able to go on the cruise. I had to cancel when I found out that my kids have to go back to school early this fall. I will be at Disneyland when the Magic returns from your voyage!!

Some of us have cruised with Disney before, have you?
If you have any questions, please ask. We will be happy to help.

Glad to have you join us hzj77hv! :flower: Hope you are enjoying the Disboards, there is a lot of information here. Have you cruised Disney before? You must be happy that they are cruising from California, it is closer for you. I am cruising with my husband and 13 yr old daughter.

Maybe I will look for the juice and recipe and try it sometime.

Jenny- There are so many tests coming up in high school I guess. Jess seems to know about them already. We have CT Mastery tests through elementary and middle school, then there is that exit test in 10th and the college tests.

I finally found our birth certificates, I had misplaced them. Is it too late to apply for passports for August? I will call my TA and ask. I also need to find out when you make reservations on the REAS pkg.

Cathy

Jenny,Stacey,Barb and Cathy.
I am glad to get your answer.

I am not good at English.

My name is Kazu and with my wife,16 yr old daughter,14 yr old daughter and 10 yr old son on the cruise.
This time is our cruise of the second times.
We went to the cruise of four night stays two years ago.

But DLR is the first time.
We are looking forward to go to DLR and Disney cruise very much.

Thank you.

Hi Kazu,
Welcome! My family includes me, my husband, 16 year old son adn 11 year old daughter. It is our 2nd Disney Cruise.
By the way I didn't think your English was bad at all!
Vickie

Kazu,

TDL is Tokyo Disneyland, correct? What about TDS and TDR? Maybe Tokyo Disney Resort, I am bad at all these acronyms. We are going to Disneyland before the cruise. Keep checking in to this thread as the cruise gets closer, we will plan a cruise meet on the Magic. I am looking forward to meeting everyone we've been talking to here.

Cathy

Cathy, TDL would be Tokyo Disneyland and TDS would be the 2nd park there, Tokyo DisneySea. So TDR would be Tokyo Disney Resort. You weren't as bad as you thought. I had to think twice on the TDS since I worked at The Disney Store and that's what we called the stores.

Hello every one
This is Kazu.

By the way
I will talk about TDL, TDS, and TDR.
TDL is Tokyo Disney Land.
TDS is Tokyo Disney Sea.
TDR is Tokyo Disney Resort.
And
We are calling the place where the all are included TDR.

It is a correct answer by Barb.
We often omit and are calling them.

Were you able to understand from the explanation of my poor English?
I think that I wont to be able to speak English well.
:sad1:

Hello,Vickie
