August 6, 2005 Mexican Riviera..Who's In?

Thank you for the birthday wishes!! It was a really, really nice birthday.

I wore my Ireland shirt and had my 3 foot Leprechaun in the car with me all day yesterday......and not one other driver even noticed.

Booked our airfare !!!! I guess it's official....you are stuck with me for a whole week!

No turning back now :)
Now to just tell the rest of the family about their summer vacation :hyper: :scratchin :love1: :teeth:

We still haven't even decided if we are flying or driving down. It's a 5 - 6 hour drive for us. I want to drive, figure it is easier luggage wise but Wick and the kids want to fly. I have my TA keeping an eye out for good fares since we haven't decided yet. If something great comes up I'm sure we will fly but we would save some money if we drive. We'll see.

We have driven over once or twice, but it's an all day drive, and I haven't the patience to listen to the kids whine for that long......and I don't want to wait that long to get there!!
Southwest has such good rates, it just makes sense for us to do that......considering I'm not as young as I used to be and the patience wears thinner every year!!

Now that I'm finally getting caught up on some things, I am really starting to get excited. Still no concrete decisions on shore excursions.....but I guess there's plenty of time for that.

Have a great day!!

I'm guessing that you are correct....if you want that Chocolate Souffle!!

Good Morning everyone!!!! Another Monday closer!!

I really need to start packing. At least DD has some of her clothes together.

Stacey, pony express found it's way back to me, now I have to get it back to you. It's such a shame you live in the 'wild west' and can't have 'normal' mail service.

You've been here, you know there is absolutely nothing "normal" about me, or my town!!! :teeth:

:wave2: Have fun, Barb.....everyone else have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Easter!

Talk to you Monday!!

PROBLEM!!! HUGE problem......

I just got the kids schedule for 2005-2006.........their school is starting on AUGUST 11th this fall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why in the name of heaven would school start THAT EARLY????

We are in the middle of the cruise at that time. No way will Jay go for this.
NOW WHAT???

Happy Easter! Just checking in while I'm on Spring Break!
Stacey - the kids will only miss 2 days of school while they experience a foreign country - do you think Jay would go for it? I work at 5 schools and it is amazing the number of students who miss the first week or so of school. Most school staff feel that travel is a wonderful education and students can always catch up on missed work.

DH, Brynee and I went to DL this past weekend. Everything is getting spruced up for the big 5-0 :earboy2: Brynee now has a pair of gold Mickey Ears :earsboy: The castle looks great with the gold accents and new tile. We watched the new fireworks show while in line for Tower of Terror and it, of course, was pretty impressive! We also enjoyed some good meals at the Blue Bayou and Wine Country Tattoria and had a great view of the Electrical Light Parade from the Wine Country terrace during dessert. Can't wait to go back once the "official" birthday celebration begins. I'll have to read postings to see what everyone has been up to. Have a great Easter!

:sad2: Found us on page 2!
Stacey, I agree that it would only mean missing 2 days of school and at our schools the first day is often a minimum day so it may not even be 2 full days. I would try to come up some good positive arguements befor presenting it to Jay! What do they think they're doing starting school so early in August anyway!!! :confused3
Have a nice Easter everyone!
