I see that some of you have secured a room at the Comfort Suites for $180. I only see a room there for $199. Any ideas on how to get the lower rate?

Anyway, what advantages do I get staying there. I know we are able to use the facilities of Atlantis but does that allow us to use all, such as the water parks (Aquadeventure), aquarium (the Dig), and beach? Just curious. Don't want to pay $540 what I can pay a little over $200 for.

Yes you get to use all the amenities of atlantis including aqua adventure, the dig (really nice aquarium) and the beach ..... towel service (so dont pack any) but remember to bring from home zip lock bags and the night before atlantis call room service (free but remember to tip) and order everything you want to eat for lunch the next day to cut the food cost while at atlantis..... We did this last year and the only thing we bought was drinks (still expensive) ......

on a different note - guess what was in my mailbox today ...... yeappers....

Thanks for the info. I think I may book a room now. Good way to save close to $300. How much would a taxi/shuttle run from the dock to the hotel???

I also received my cruise documents yesterday. Just a little over a month to go.

Just got our cruise docs. Found out they have upgraded us from Cat 8 to 5 without us having to ask!!!
REALLYYYY looking forward to it! Now we've got the upgrading bug has anyone any idea how much it might cost us to upgrade further when we check in (think that there are only Cat 3's available now)

I am happy to book it on my credit card, we can meet and all check in and get our wristbands together, you can pay me your 1/2 in cash and then we each go on our merry old ways.

Also, anyone also want to share a van or limo private transfer to/from the ship (only if you are headed to a disney resort before & after)

Looking forward to it. We JUST booked today and got a good deal. It is a Cat 12 Guaranty- think we'll get upgraded?

I would have loved to share a car to the port with you. Unfortunately, I had to cancel our cruise + WDW at OKW/CBR, due to a medical situation with a family member. (who will be fine but needs 2 months + of my help).
Yesterday I dealt with the airline and most of the tickets were offered back in credit.
Have a Bahama Mama for me!

Got my docs yesterday and we got an upgrade from a Category 8 Oceanview on deck 7 to a Category 5 Oceanview with veranda on the same deck. Thanks for the magic, DCL!

Now I just need to get my wife to stop worrying that the boy is going to go over the rail while we're at sea.

Got my docs yesterday and here are my room assignments:

Aug 29 - #2647

Spoke to a DCL Customer Service rep and was told to call back as at time of booking I had requested same room for the B2B cruise. They are still working on it, but was also told to check upon check-in at the port. Maybe an upgrade ??????????

For those of you who have booked at Comfort Suites, I recommend that you go back and check the rate and re-book. What was $240 when I booked originally, then rebooked at $180 after reading the post here, is now $140! So save yourselves $40 by rebooking at this new, lower rate.
