August 29th, 2009--Eastern Magic...Let's Get it Started!

Okay I need 2 - 2 1/2 weeks for bracelets from time of order. I'm going to set a deadline of Tuesday August 4th for PM orders. I will order some extras. I will post a list of everyone who sent a PM for review on August 5th. Then a few days later Ill place the order. I will have a final color and layout posted soon. For those asking about payment we can just square up on the boat. I will be on deck 9 at 3. You should be able to recognize me by the 200 bracelets around my arms

ps Bracelets will be handed out right after TVEPFOX weather forecast :happytv:

Thanks for the bling update.

ps... I only forecast if the H word is lurking!

A girl after my own heart!! Is there anything better than shopping with a drink in your hand?:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I go to a jewelry store in St. Maarten that opens a tab for me when I show up!!! Guavaberry something or others... can't remember... know why... I was drunk as a skunk and spent way tooo much money there!:rotfl:

I'm spending way toooo much time on the boards tonight! LOL!

We're having bibical rain! I'm waiting for the roof to start leaking!

Really, I just want to see my cruise clock hit 30 days!!!!!!!

Fabulous job! :thumbsup2 Thanks for all of your work

Of course!

Nothing too formal, we can all meet and hit the islands together. Especially St. Thomas, going by taxi to Meghan's Bay will be a blast!

I warn you now, I love to shop and drink and I don't mean bottled water.

Sounds good!:) Thanks!!

Welcome! Welcome!

How Exciting ... our group keeps growing!!!! Can't wait to meet everyone!

Anyone access the new DCL website? If so what did you think:confused3

I had to delete all of my cookies and history and then type in the disney website name in order to get it.

If I googled it, I would get the old website.

Joe

I Love It! .... Thanks for the directions ... at first I wasn't able to see the New DCL site .... but I followed your directions and there it was .... loved especially that the new menus were listed ... I printed them out and highlighted my favs ... I'm ready for the Cruise! :woohoo:

Hi everybody! :flower3: I'll be joining you on your cruise..:yay:
It will me, DH, and DS (7 months)..We're avid cruisers (usually RCCL) but this will be our first Disney cruise :cool1: We can't wait! We love Disney! We go to WDW every year so we know we'll have a blast on the cruise..I hope you don't mind but I'll probably be picking a few of your minds with questions...

I had to laugh because when I first found this site a few days ago, I noticed it was started in March so I assumed it was March of this year. But then I looked again and noticed it was March of last year  Some of you are true die-hards..I like that :thumbsup2 I am such a procrastinator that we tend to book our trips late and I'm always the person waiting until the night before to pack..:rolleyes1

I originally booked for a Navigator's Verandah (cat 7) because I could still get a view but it was much cheaper than the regular verandah (cat 6). Well I just found out a few days ago that they upgraded me to the regular verandah :cheer2: I couldn't believe it...

I was just wondering..For those with little children, do you need to bring car seats with you when you go on bus tours or do you just hold them on your lap?

Also, just wondering..do they have art auctions on DCL?

I made a mistake with one of the colors of the cabins on the last deck plan (sorry about that Sheila, it is buried deep enough I hope no one uses that one instead). Here is the new one.

They do have art auctions on DCL. As for the car seat and bus tours in the islands, you might want to rethink that with such a little one. The "buses" in St. Thomas and St. John are nothing more than a pick up truck with benches bolted down to the bed. They do put some sort of railing up on the sides, but not very safe, IMO. We travel to St. John each year and always see these things FILLED with cruise passengers, never was a fan. I always booked private transfers from the STT airport to the ferry so I didn't have to ride in one with my kids. I've heard too many stories of someone falling out, there is NO WAY a car seat could be used here. There actually is no car seat law in the USVI, I always brought my own though.

Welcome Aboard!

We're a fun bunch and love to chat!

I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but have you googled the Art Auction at Sea?

I’m so ready for this vacation. I’m a big planner. I like to know what I’m doing and when. Many of you have expressed interest in going ashore as a group, or should I say a party!

If you want to book excursions with Disney you have 28 days to do it online.

Tuesday we’ll be in St. Maarten for most of the day. We dock at The A.C. Wathey Pier & Port Facility in Philipsburg on the Dutch side of the island.

RCCL’s Liberty of the Seas will be in port with us that day. She arrives after us and brings thousands of passengers. The area can get very busy with two ships in port.

We plan to get off the ship around 10 a.m. I would like to meet on Deck 9 by the Goofy pool, starboard at 9:45 a.m.

We’re taking a water taxi from the dock area. A water taxi operates between the cruise pier and downtown Philipsburg; cost is $3 each way (a roundtrip discount price of $5 is often available), CASH ONLY! If you do not want to use the water taxi you can walk to the Front Street area. It's about 15 minutes.

The water taxi takes you to the Front Street boardwalk. There you’ll find duty free shopping, restaurants, bars and Great Bay beach. After some shopping we’re planning lunch at a beach front restaurant, then off to the beach. Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach. Last visit we got 2 chairs, 1 umbrella and two Heinekens for $10 CASH ONLY!

Once you get to Philipsburg, most everything is in 5 to 20 minute walking distance, including the ship.

If you’re interested in jewelry shopping I like St. Maarten better than St. Thomas, this is MY opinion. I have a jeweler on Front Street, he’s very good. He gives me good prices, options for U.S. Customs, and a wonderful selection of quality pieces. Please feel free to explore the shopping area. You’ll find inexpensive liquor (nice to buy small bottles for onboard), diamonds, gold, electronics, souvenirs, etc. If you’re shopping for jewelry like me (I love blue diamonds), I can be of some assistance. I worked in a high end jewelry store for years.

I’ll put a similar post together for St. Thomas. We’re planning a day trip to Meghan’s Bay.

This is not the FE LIST, if you do ont want your name on this list, please pm me and I will remove it. It was just easier to cut and paste our current list.

This is a new list added to our FE list so others that are not participating in the FE can have their families listed here so we can all get to know one another before our trip. This is going to be known as the DISFRIENDS LIST. If you plan to attend our meet it is at 3pm at the goofy pool. If you would like to be added to our list, please pm me and I will be happy to add you to the list

Cigy7 is now out of Adult sizes and only has youth sizes remaining as of 8/6. You do not need to buy the bracelets to be part of the group, if you do want the bracelets, you must pm Cigy7 to order them. I believe they will be around $1.25 each, they are just a way to recognize our fellow disboarders at a glance while onboard.

Can we join you guys too It sounds like we have the perfect person or shall I say Cruise Director for a day of fabulous fun with lots of great people :woohoo:

Since we're 30 days out I figure it's time to start watching the Atlantic. I'll post regular updates based on the NHC.

The 2009 Atlantic Hurricane season has been very quiet, too quiet if you ask me. Keep your fingers crossed.

Let's hope it stays this way...
