I just wanted to thank everyone for their advise on taking MK in a day! Especially Michele325. I looked up touringplans.com. They are great. i think we will do Dumbo do or Die. Wish us luck!

Last cruise my family was given a tour of the bridge by the Captain. I thought I would share some pictures. Enjoy!

Bridge Wing Starboard. This is one of the two wings that extends over the ship. The Captain stands on it to guide the ship into port.

The Big Guy's Chair. Yes, I did try it out.

Looking out to Sea. Everything looks so far away.

Steering Wheel. It was so small I was surprised.

Mission Control. Fins were out, we were told not to touch anything!

10 Decks Above the Ocean. This was awesome. Glass floor looking down.

Glad I could help Don't forget to use fastpass and look at the fastpass when you get it to see when you can get another. A lot of times it is before you actually can use the fastpass. And atleast in the past you can use your fastpass AFTER the stated times on the ticket. Have fun!!!

OK, I've been "thinking" about packing, but...

We don't leave until the 27th...with the two DDs, and the need to do laundry almost daily, I'm thinking our packing will be done on the 26th.

Between now and then there are like "a million" things to do (School Orientation, Shopping, house cleaning, lawn care, work).

I feel so insufficient...

Don't worry about it!!!! We leave here on Fri afternoon and will do the bulk of the packing on Thursday.... I would like to get it done earlier, but I just can't. I'll pack our toilitries on Fri Morn after everyone is dressed for the wedding..... I just hope I"m leaving myself enough time. I keep reminding myself we'll be in FL for a week before the cruise, so if I've forogtten anything, I can pick it up there!!!! My biggest fear now is forgetting my FE stuff....

I'm packing again! Twice in one day. 3 bags down, 2 to go!!! Not counting 3 carry-ons!

The drink special of the day is Puerto Rican Rum on the rocks! It's 90 degrees here! Bottoms up!

Two quick questions for you veteran Disney cruisers:

1.) Are the "cribs" in the rooms Pack-n-Plays? If so, do they have the top part for small babies to sleep in or is it just open like a playpen?

2.) Are there beach umbrellas on Castaway Cay? If so, are they permanent or do you rent them?

I have not actually seen one but from all the pics I have found the answer is yes

and a DCL rep told me it was a portable crib, then added it is a pack n play

The umbrellas are there when you arrive. There aren't enough for everyone, but if you get off the ship promptly, you'll probably be able to find one. And it's not like Hawaii, where you have to pay a zillion dollars a day to find some shade. They were free in Feb. so I'm assuming they still are.

Weren't you the one who said the ups man said he was delivering them all day? Now you know he wasn't kidding! One of our good friends ended up at a Sandals in Jamaica the same time as us, we had no idea until a few days before the trip, it was nice knowing someone else there!

My Geek Confession of the Day: I just got a new camera in the mail today and as I scrolled thru the settings it has I thought about how each one will be used on the cruise. "Fireworks setting? Pirates party of course. Party setting? Will come in handy at Rockin' Bar D. What? OMG! It has a food setting?? Now I have to document every meal for the TR I'm thinking of doing!" Yes... I squeed at a food setting on a camera. Quite loudly in fact.

I haven't even finished packing for the two-day trip I'm taking to New Hampshire tomorrow (departure time 5am) Well, the problem is I have a beer after every item I put in the bag. I'm up to 5. Woo hoo!
