August 29, 2012 4 Night Bahamian Cruise

We just booked this cruise about a month ago and are very excited. My DH and I and 12 yo DGD in one room, DD SIL and 4 yo DGS in connecting room. My 4th Disney cruise, Kids and granddaughter's 3rd, and first for grandson.

This is the first time on The Dream. I'm excited to see the differences. It's so much bigger, I wonder if that's a good or a bad thing. That many more people seem like it would make a huge difference.

welcome! This is our first cruise, DCL or otherwise...as the date gets closer, I am just getting giddy! Although, I need to finish FE gifts and FE itself!

You are going to love the Disney DREAM, but be warned ... she is HUGE compared to the WONDERful Disney WONDER, which we love too!
Any chance we could interest you in joining our FE exchange too? Our group is still pretty small and it definitely is a fun thing to do!

We just did the the 2 nighter on the Magic last weekend out of NYC. What a blast It was so good to be on the Magic again and see some familiar faces. Now were all pumped for our August cruise on the Dream.
No excursions for us, just lots of time enjoying everything the ship has to offer

We only booked a Cabana, we know our ways around Nassau after having been there so often.

Just wanted to share this thread from the main board if you did not see it. Also, anyone who has already cruised may be able to comment. Looks like I will need to buy some water shoes for the family.

"We just got off the Dream. Even when the temps were only 75 degrees or so, the steps on the Aquaduck were blazing hot. We knew enough to keep our shoes on till the top. There was one crew member who was trying to insist that people take their shoes off. "

You are going to love cruising with Disney! It is so much fun. Only downside ....... it is addictive. You want to go again and again.

I guess I am in charge of the list for our cruise and since you asked I put you on the list right away.

To put you on the online list I would need everyone's first names, the kids' ages and your stateroom number.
Shortly before we leave for our vacation we will upload maps of all the decks with the staterooms marked, so it will be easier to find them on the cruise.
