Reenieny18 - I'm sure whatever liquor you bring will be appreciated by all

Jill

Thanks for posting the menu. The beef tenderloin sounds yum! Guess I need to re-evaluate my Palo night.

Bobby - glad to hear your dog is doing well.

I'm not sure when we'll get to the Radisson. I want to enjoy the Yacht club as long as possible.

Looks like Earl fizzled out. I'm glad for the people cruising this week. l can't finish packing till Sunday as we are still wearing our shorts and bathing suits! Plus there's mice in the basement and I not enjoying my trips to the basement laundry room.

Oh, wait, the Pirates menu takes the place of Mexical.... on Wed night, right? Ok, good, now I can go to sleep now, LOL. Palo's still for Tues. ( I hope) Do not want to miss Thursday surf and turf!

Hi Everyone!:wave2: Moran Clan: I am so happy to hear Mickey is doing better! I can't even imagine how upset you all must have been, thankfully the Prayers & PD helped! Ginny: A girl after my own heart! TGIF with the liquor already in it is very good, I of course still add some of my own Kahlua & such to enhance it, but that's because I' a lush!::yes:: LOL! I'm so glad we are on the same deck....this way when one of us runs out of mix or liquor we won't have far to go! I would love to bring my blender, but it is just too heavy. Mary Rose: What part of Brooklyn are you from? I currently live in Marine Park area. I, too am known for my Brooklyn accent! Hopefully the others will be able to understand us when we get excited. Cindy is also originally from Brooklyn, so this should be fun!Trinibjill: I'm new to all this too! I'm not sure when I will be drinking my mixed drinks, but I know it will help to keep my bar tab down, even if it's just before or after dinner! Mjasp & Terry: Don't forget about those of us who won't be there till the day of the Cruise! Save a green lei for me, save a green lei for me!:bounce: :bounce: I am really looking foward to meeting all my fellow Dis'ers, this is going to be a great vacation! I only hope the kids get along as well as all of us do!::yes:: Watch out Magic....here we come! ::yes:: Kathy :wave2:

Kathy...For those not at the Radisson, I will have leis at the DIS meet.

As for Brooklyn it was Bensonhurst for me. I don't think I have an accent though, but some say I do. (I don't think so )

10 days to cruise...9 days to pre night:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

oops forgot...For those getting in on the 27th we are in the SINGLE DIGITS:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Single digits for us! 9 days till we'll be flying down to Florida!! :sunny:

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally back with power last night after losing it Friday at 2:30pm!!!

Thanks so much for all of the well wishes and worrying. We were lucky that the eye of the storm stalled a little near Sanibel or it would have went over our home. We made it out with minimal damage - trees, roof (nothing at all bad), etc... but we are fine and that was my concern. We had to drive to Naples on Saturday morning just to get a phone signal to notify family we were ok (Dad in CT was ready to drive down to find us) and then to locate Mom and my sister (Who are in Charlotte County!) was awful!!! They are both ok - home damage but they are ok and homes can be rebuilt.

I would have signed on last night but it took forever to clean out the house - the fridges were disgusting and all the food we lost really aggravates me! The boys are out of school until Thursday. My poor youngest had his 1st birthday yesterday! What a way to celebrate! We had to cancel his party for this weekend and will do it when we return from the cruise. We are still going on that no matter what! We will be canceling a few excursions due to money needed during and after the storm, but we are still going which was my main concern! :)

Again - can't thank you all enough for worrying and kind wishes! Hope those of you who are in FL or have family here made out ok also!

Melanie

Melanie - Thank goodness you're okay! Sorry to hear about all you have been through. We've been so worried and I hope things can get back to some sort of normal for you and your loved ones really soon!

Kathy - I grew up in Old Mill Basin- East 54th between L & M to be exact. My DH grew up right around the corner on E. 53rd. Looks like we were neighbors (which of course explain the similar and terrific accents) In fact my DMom still lives there but she is moving to Old Bridge with my DSis & her family sometime this summer. My other DSis still teaches at P.S. 203 on Ave. M, she commutes from Freehold everyday :earseek: I see you're a tad bit younger than me and DH (43/44) but my one DSis is 40 and my DBro is 39 turning 40 in Nov. (yes, they are Irish twins 10 1/2 months apart) Wouldn't it be funny if you know one of them. I really miss and love Brooklyn and I always loved hanging out at Marine Park!

Joanna - Did you grow up in Bensonhurst during the "Saturday Night Fever" heyday?

-Mary Rose

It is SOOOOO good to hear from you, Melanie!! :grouphug: I'm so happy and relieved that you and your family are all OK. I'm sorry to hear about the damage, though.

It looks like our families are neighbors. I grew up in Sayreville, my father and one brother still live there, one of my other brothers is an Old Bridge cop. And my sister lives in Freehold. :) "It's a small world afterall....." LOL

Wont be long now you lucky guys! Wish it was us sailing too! If any of you are staying at the Hyatt overnight on the 27th, look out for 2 lost Brits(Maria and Simon) who are sailing on the Magic 28th. DD's best pals! Ive given them LOADS of hints and info, but if they look confused then maybe you could just point them in the right direction for me. It is their FIRST Disney cruise, and first time in USA for Simon, so its VERY EXCITING for them. Gem (DD in Palo) is SO happy that her best friends will be cruising on her last week before her vacation. Hope you all have a really MAGICAL time. Nat:Pinkbounc

Melanie - we are all so relieved to hear that you and your family are safe... we were really starting to get worried.

Ginny

Thank you everyone - sorry we worried you !

Now that I have read through all of the pages of posts I missed:

Bobby and Cindy: So glad to hear Mickey is ok. I am sure that was so hard for all of you - especially the kids! :)

I see some people did have family and friends in FL areas that were hit - our thoughts and prayers go out to them!

And I see we have still had people hit by this little pre-cruise curse of sickness and accidents so I hope everyone is doing better and feeling better! We are in the home stretch now so no more getting sick or hurt - OR HIT BY HURRICANES!!!!!!!

And did I see something about TGI Friday drinks !!! My gallon of MUDSLIDES had to be thrown away!!!!!!!! The horror!!! Thank god there was only a little bit left so it wasn't such a waste! Looking forward to many more on the ship.....

If I missed anything (trying to read the posts quickly) I'm sorry! But VERY happy to be back on the boards again - restores some sort of NORMAL back to things! :)

Melanie

Melanie - Charley stole your bottle of Mudslides - horror! Seriously though I'm glad you're all okay and that you have electricity back and can start to return to normal. I feel so sorry for the residents of Fla. that were so hard hit by Charley. Some areas look decimated!

Terry - My son just attended the Old Bridge Youth Police Academy Summer Camp. It was run by OBPD officers. My DS absolutely LOVED the program and I wonder if your brother was part of it. I'll get your maiden name on board. Those officers were terrific to the kids. My DS lives in the OBPD baseball cap he received as part of the program and I'm sure he'll be wearing it onboard.

Nat - We'll be on the lookout for Maria & Simon. Will you pass on the details of our DIS meet: Location: Promenade Lounge Time: Embarkation Day, just after the lifeboat drill. Maybe they'd be interested. Tell them there is alot of information about our group at threecircles.net

-Mary Rose

Melanie so glad your alright... We were all so worried about you.. Ginny wasn't sharing..lol Seriously though, I am so glad your excaped with min damage.
Bobby and Cindy how did Mickey do last night?
Ginny: I am so jealous,, you have less time before you go... where are you staying in WDW? We leave a week from today..
Been going through the newpaper adds to find the best deals on Liquor.. is it any cheaper in KW???
Again.. Melanie. glad your safe.. We will help you make up for your lost mudslides.

 :Pinkbounc Doreen

Doreen - we are staying at the Hampton Inn in Lake Buena Vista from Sat-Wed, then we go to the Royal Pacific at Universal so we can get that FOTL access then the Radisson on Friday.

As far as booze in Key West... we bought some last year at a place close to the ship and it wasnt any bargain but was still cheaper than onboard the ship. I remember Shirley from Perfect Gift saying that there was a Publix on Key West that had better prices so I think we may also check that out. There is a liquor store right down the road from the Radisson that has a big selection we usually stop there and load up.
