August 28, 2004 "LOST AT SEA" Cruise

Goodness, I think I'm in big trouble on the cruise. I went to bed about 9:30 last night and got up this morning to 4 pages of posts  I can see this is going to be a night time party group!

We leave Sunday and while I haven't packed at all yet, I do have some stuff laid out. Today, I'm doing the kitchen and bathroom tomorrow I shall pack.

Catch up with you all later.

Maryanne,
are you moving to Florida? Ok I am blonde but what are you doing today in the kitchen and bathroom?
Ginny, I will have my cousins take me to their FAVORITE Liquor store at KW as well...

Doreen....:sunny:

LOL Reenieny18, I mean to say I was cleaning the Kitchen and bathroom so they would be done before we left. I've told everyone I'm done cooking and they're not permitted to use the bathroom till we've returned (LOL) so they will stay clean. (yeah right LOL )

Moving to Florida is on our todo list to. Only, I doubt it will get done this trip

I found J and T on another board. They got booted here. They send best wishes...
Doreen

My you are a chatty bunch...first off...MELANIE...glad you are safe and minimal damage...BOBBY and CINDY...glad to hear that Mickey
is OK!

Now, we are leaving on Friday and ACKKKKK I have to pack and clean the house since my dear MIL is stopping over each day to feed the CAT!

I will pick up some liquer(sp?) to SHARE....we won't be at the radisson the night before...but you should be able to spot us...
DH is 6' 4'' and I am a foot shorter, we have three boys oldest is as tall as me and the othersare very tall for their age.

Looking foward to meeting you all! (Since DH and the kids are from Boston, they do not pronounce their r's, however I maintain my Western Massachusetts accent most of the time.

If you go to their web site, www.threecircles.net , they have set up a message board there. There's a link at the bottom of their main page. That might answer some questions. I'm always so out of the loop with these things, but I happened to notice the link on the site, so I decided to check it out. lol

Melanie & Adam... so happy that you and yours were spared, although it must have been scary....

Bobby & Cindy....so good that Mickey is recovering nicely....

Natdencro....we'll be staying at the Hyatt on the 27th, arriving around noon, flying in on Song airlines from Boston. We'll be sure to keep an eye out for Maria & Simon. Will they be taking DCL transportation to the ship on Saturday?

I kinda wish we were staying at the Radisson, it looks like we'll be missing a great party.....

Hi All!

Just paid J & T a visit. This is sad :o

I also went out today to pick up a few last minute items and will now probably need another suitcase LOL. I picked up a Smoothie Jr. at Target for $30. Ginny I looked all over and this was the best price. Good for you, you really got a steal! I also stopped at the Liquor Store (we're driving down and have the room) and I bought three big TGIF bottles. 1) Amaretto Mudslide 1) Pina Colada and 1) Creamscicle. They were on sale for $11.99 each. I seem to remember paying $17 or $18 for the big bottle so I think I saved a bit. I also bought two four packs of Kahula brand White Russians for DH. When I was paying at the counter it looked like I had enough booze for an Army. Each of the big bottles states is makes (18) 10 oz. drinks. I know this is more than DH & I can consume, so please stop by cabin 6110 for the Foo-Foo of the day, otherwise poor Mary Rose is gonna look like this all week:

Looks like this might be the booze cruise! LOL

Mary Rose - your gonna be sorry you gave out your room #. That Doreen is a lush and she will probably be camped out outside your door begging for ice and mudslides..

What store did you get the Fridays mixes in... maybe I will pick them up here in NJ.. I have room since the cooler is presently empty except for the smoothie maker.

Ginny

Ginny you're a riot!!! So what'dya think Doreen, are you on my deck? Are you coming over? LOL

I bought my booze at Buy Rite. I'm not sure but they look like they could be a chain. There is no bar in the back of the store, and they have huge selection. I don't live in NJ that long, but most of my local liquor stores have a very small selection and they have a bar attached in the back. That's fine in a pinch but I needed the heavy artillery for this trip ;)

MaryRose I wanted to reply to something you posted, but I've just caught up on 4 pages of posts, so I can't remember....by the way I am a blonde also.....
Melanie I do remember that I'm happy you are OK, we were worried about you!

Mickey is doing great, If he was a cat he would have used up at least 5 of his lives since Monday. He won't leave my side. I had to take him for a ride to 711 with me this morning for my coffee, and his treat.

Im so looking foward to this trip!!!!

Cindy - Was it about being from Brooklyn, I understand you are too. So glad about Mickey. It's a miracle that he was actually run over on Monday and came home on Tuesday. What breed of dog is he? We had a dog name Mickey, he was a doberman - the most wimpy doberman you ever saw - he thought he was a poodle. He didn't have a docked tail or ears and that really changed his look. He looked just like an over grown hound dog.

winnyis _ Ginny, Try canal's on 541 & sunset road or Roger Wilco on 130 That's 2 near you. I believe there's a liquor store somewhere near the Roebling Bank on 130 & there is also one by Mills Harley Davidson on 130. We are surrounded by alcohol.

I also got your e-mail. Who knows maybe I've passed you in the mall. Can't wait to meet everyone on the cruise. I can't believe it's only 7 days away

Jill:crazy:

Mary Rose he is a black lab/pointer mix. Bobby and I lived in Marine Park when we first got married. I taught 8th grade at Marine Park JHS for a while. Oh yeah....you'll know us because we have that Brooklyn accent and yell out of the windows for the ice cream man!!! Only kidding:hyper: (now that we live in LI we only yell in the yard)

Cindy - My DBro taught English at Marine Park JHS for a couple of years in late 80's before moving over to Huddy (sp?) JHS near the junction. Oh yeah, and when you yelled out the window for the ice cream man did you then eat that ice cream on you front stoop? I recently called a local charity here for a clothing pickup and I told them I'd leave the bags on the stoop. They asked me "just to clarify" does that mean the front porch? LOL
