August 28, 2004 "LOST AT SEA" Cruise

Cindy - I'm so happy about your poochie and I'm so jealous that you're all packed already!

Bobby - I sure I'll be able to spot you guys around the pool not only because I see your beautiful family picture at threecircles.net, but also because in addition to your tattoos I figures you might just have dozens of lime green Mickey head magnets stuck all over you :hyper:

Mary Rose... my smoothie maker is medium sized. Just got it last week at Kohls - only $15 with my moms senior discount.. so its not a big deal if it gets broken etc...

The brand is Back to Basic Smoothie Blast. We tested out last friday with margaritas and guavaberry coladas and it worked pretty good.

Cindy - your welcome to join us.. you need a drink after all the stress youve been under lately. Im like you I cant drink alot or I get tired too. I had friends from work over last friday and we drank from 2PM - 10PM... I was a wreck the next day.. I dont know how they do that all the time.

We will be at the Radisson pool around noon on Friday... my kids are looking forward to meeting some new friends.

Ginny

Welcome home to Mickey the dog!! :sunny: I am SO relieved to hear that he's OK and that the Moran Clan will be sailing! I have to say, I was a bit down today thinking of the possibility of your family possibly missing the cruise. It's so hard to be so excited about the cruise, then to hear bad news like Mickey, and those still effected by the hurricane. What a roller coaster of emotions!

Regarding the Radisson meet: Our flight arrives in Orlando around 2:30pm on Friday. We'll be heading directly over after we get our luggage! Hopefully the weather will be good that day so we can all meet around the pool. :sunny: I'm sure I will recognise Bobby, but who else will be there? Anyone else who has a picture on Jason's web site?? lol Do any of you have lime green ribbons or anything, so we don't walk up to total strangers, asking if they're from the DIS boards?!?!? LOL

Karel...The thread with the menu is on the main cruise board. ( I don't know how to put a link here)

Ginny...Glad you are my neighbor, now I know you won't be able to pass me (with a drink in your hand) without offering me a drink LOL

Tinibjill...Please let me know who will be with you and where you will be staying pre night.

I would say poolside for the DIS meet unless it rains then we can meet at the bar inside. I would recommend going to the far side of the pool, not where the tables for the restaurant are, so we will be out of the way (of people who want to have a quiet vacation) LOL. Looking at the pool (all the way to the left)

We will be arriving very late afternoon, must stop at the liquor store first.

Getting excited but am having reservations about going, having a bit of illness here (nothing catchy) but it has me concerned.

Have a great evening, and what is the deal with Jason and Travis now. WHERE ARE THEY???????????

Melanie Is really concerning me, I was hoping if Adam went to work he may inform us. My brother lost some of his shingles and soffitts, but thank God that is all. Am getting excited about going to the Atlantis hotel if we get sidetracked.

Joanna

Ginny - Thanks for the info! You got a great deal. That smoothie maker at Kohls.com is $39.99. I'm going to go into the store tomorrow and I'm going to try Target too. Thanks again.

When I get there I will be giving out the leis, and then you can also where them to the terminal the next day and then to the DIS meet at the Promenade Lounge. Sound good?

Ok - I might be a little delayed but did I see someone mention what movies are playing on the ship? I was trying to find out as DD 7 is in summer camp and they are taking them to see Princess Diaries 2 tomorrow and I told her to hang back at camp and wait to see it on the ship with her other young cruisemates. DH is concerned she will sit there and say " Hey, this is what happens next"! if she goes now and then on the ship. LOL

That sounds great, Joanna. I actually will have a small little "surprise" to give to everyone on Friday night, too, so we will definitely be noticable! :teeth:

Hi Darwin91: I have read in a couple of threads that they ARE playing Princess Diaries 2 on the Magic now :)

MORANCLAN - I am so glad to her Mickey is home. Hope the healing is quick and complete.

We will be at the Radisson early evening. Do you think you will still be by the pool?

For those of you who are packing smoothie makers and mixes and other assorted alcoholic treats: tell me what the heck you are doing! I've been reading this thread forever and I am still trying to figure out how and when you make your drinks. Do you carry them around ship, up on deck, or do you have them pre-dinner while dressing? I know I sound like a moron, but I really have been trying to figure this all out. On past cruises I have indulged on the "Drink of the Day" and it can get costly. I was thinking of bringing a few bottles of wine and a corkscrew to enjoy in our cabin. But you guys seem to have this whole thing under control. LOL Clue me in!

Joanna - That sounds great. Unfortunately I won't be arriving til around dinner time but I'll be looking for all of you at the far left side of the pool. I'm sorry to hear about your illness concern and I hope it corrects itself ASAP

Terry - We don't have a picture on Jason's site and if I describe us we'll just sound like millions of other people as there is nothing too special about us. But, the one thing I can tell you is that I have one of the strongest Brooklyn accents you'll ever hear. I say this with great pride in being born and raised in Brooklyn - one of the greatest places on earth. But honestly, it draws comments everywhere I travel and you can't miss it. My kids have a Jersey accent by now and alas they don't sound like me LOL!

-Mary Rose

Joanna, I hope whatever your health concern is, that is goes away soon. I have a back molar that had a root canal MANY years ago, and suddenly it has become very sensitive to hot and cold in the last 2 weeks! I'm hoping it doesn't crack or anything. Someone told me that a molar with a root canal should've had a crown or cap put on it when it first done!

Mary Rose: My mother was from NYC, I love the accent :) My sons have been living here in Massachusetts since the ages of 9 and 6 (they are now 16 and 13) and they don't have one speck of a New England accent! (Which I am glad about. lol) :teeth:

OK I ironed from 4 pm till 8 or so... and we are all PACKED:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I didn't close the garmet bags yet. Will do that next Tuesday night. Ginny : and anyone else who is a FROZEN drink conoursiere(*sp) I have my SMOOTHIE maker in my sons bag.. I can't believe I am bringing this. We have the one from QVC ( cooks essential). Fresh fruit, ice and ice cream,, talk about PARADISE
I am not to happy with the PIRATES night menu.. the names are longer than the dining time,,lol. Oh well.. See DH is so fussy so I have to explain to him what he is eating.. He doesnt do fancy foods.:sunny:Terry: I was thinking the same thing about Cindy and Bobby not making it.. Felt sad after feeling like we know you guys.. So glad your coming.
Now let's all stay HEALTHY people and fuzzy friends. DARWIN: I posted the movies a page or 2 back. and yes that movie playing on board.

~Doreen~

You cant miss my family... Im 5'11 with blonde hair, DH is 6'1 with light brown hair and our kids are tall skinny wild blondes... we have a picture up on Jasons site and we all pretty much still look like that.

Sandy... DH and DBIL will definately walk around with their beer, I even got them a little soft sided 6 pack cooler to bring to the pool. As for the smoothies..... we will have happy hour while getting ready and I have no problem walking around with my own drink.. I'll buy one of the drinks of the day from DCL and then keep the glass and I will just blend it with everyone else.

Mary Rose... Wow that was a good deal I had no idea it was that expensive.. they had a big sale last week where smoothie makers, quesadilla makers and an electric griddle were all $17.99.. My mom got the extra 15% off for me so it was a great deal..

And how right he is. LOL

Am thinking myself of doing another Palo or Topsiders on Pirates night. Unless I just get the plain Sirloin Steak (That is always an option) We'll see, have plenty of time to decide.

I'm sure we will still be at the Radisson at night, just try to get the kids away from the pool.

Mjasp - there is always Dominoes (oh that was Vistana) I mean, Pinnochio's Pizzeria and late night room service!!!;)
