I searched to see if there was a thread for this cruise, and I didn't find one, so . . .

I guess I'm the only one on this ship!! :rotfl:

Hope to have some company and get to know some people before the cruise!!

Let's get it started :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

We are going back for the 6th time and bringing my best friend and her children. DH/DS11,DS12,DD6,DF,DNeph13,DNeph11
We cannot wait. Hopefully we can get all the Dis'ers together.
:cool1: :earsgirl: :Pinkbounc

Thanks Kaceyisme for directing me to the right place ! So, are we going to have the ship to ourselves? :cool1:

doccath - I see you have a nephew 13 that you are traveling with. My DS13 would love to get to know someone his age before we travel. If you want to PM me, maybe we can hook them up to e-mail eachother.

it sure looks that way :rotfl2:

By the way, do you live in NY??

Yep, I live in Ny. Not too far, I'm in Queens.

Cool! I used to live in Flushing and Whitestone!! Now I live in Roslyn on Long Island, so we're still practically neighbors. I thought you might be from Bayside by your name, so I just had to ask :goodvibes

I'm looking forward to our cruise and hopefully we can plan a "Dis Meet"!

We'll be on that cruise also! It's our first cruise ever, but we've been to WDW lots of times - I'll be with DH, DD7, DS9, and Father in Law and his wife, connecting cat 5's. DD very social - love to get to know other girls' names ahead of time! Putting her with DS as she's very mature and close to her brother, so I'm going to put her in the lab instead of the club. I think we'll switch to late dinner - have early now, but it seems too early for dinner on vacation!

Edited: NOW we're in a midship CAT 3! Inlaws are probably not coming but we'll have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi happymommy! You are going to love the cruise, and you are starting out right doing a seven night!! This is going to be our second cruise. We did the four night last August, and we couldn't wait to book a seven night!

It's going to be a blast!!

Thanks kaceyisme! I have been wanting to do a Disney Cruise for a while, but the fares looked too high. This one is less, maybe most kids are back in school but ours aren't.

Anyone else out there? My kids would love to have someone to look for in the lab!

This will be our fourth time on this cruise same week every year now for the bad news we have made the itinerary as planned only once first year was an eastern we ended up doing cozumel grand cayman then cast away cay 2 days in a row first cruise to ever do that then over to free port second year we made it a western last year was interesting was supposed to be western with castaway cay last stop they took us there first day because they said it may be unavailable due to hurricane and captain joked about an extra day on the ship we ended up going to cc then cozumel then to costa maya (first time disney went there) then a quick trip to galveston (first time the ship went there) then 3 extra days at sea for 10 day cruise finally we got off in fort lauderdale as port canaveral was closed and the most amazing thing to me was how many people left early instead of getting the extra days 1 person payed 1600 to fly home from costa maya and 500 + bailed out in galveston maybe we can get lucky again

Hi tor! Glad to see another family on our trip! You make number four for the list.

I'm also from Long Island! Do you have any kids?

My kids will both be in lab. My son will be 11 and my daughter will be in the 8-9 group. (turning 9 the week after the cruise)

This is our first cruise as well.

We have two kids ds 7 and dd 7 both will be 8 a few weeks after the cruise so we will put them in the lab with 8 and 9 year olds also with us fil,mil and dneph 13

Sounds like this cruise is the perfect vacation for the whole family - My daughter will be 7 1/2 so I'm going to put her with the 8 - 9 year olds. Maybe my kids will meet up with yours!

So it has taken me awhile to find my way back. I am so excited to be approaching the 6m mark. My boys would love to meet some other kids before the ship,it would just take their excitement up to the I cann't live with them level. Poor DH,he has to put up with all we are talking about is the fun we are going to have on the ship. He is the one who is the least excited, as he puts it on a ship with 8 preteens,
Hope to meet some fellow Dis'ers on board. Brunch at Palo anyone??

Hi. Just booked this cruise for me, DH and DD5. It's our first Disney cruise, though I've been on Carnival Alaska cruise and Holland America Alaska cruise (w/DH).

We are sooo excited. This will be our first family vacation other than visiting family. DH graduates from law school next month and takes the bar exam at the end of July, so he'll need the vacation.

The current plan is to fly in the day before and stay at the Radisson by the port. Anyone else doing that? I haven't bought our plane tickets, yet. Too soon for plane ticket deals.

See you there!
:ccat:

Hi cinderella_mom! Your going to love the cruise! We are flying in the day before too, but we'll be staying at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal, and then driving over to the ship in the morning. See you there!! :goodvibes

I am a dabbler on this list and I finally got around to looking for a group for me. We are cruising on the Magic on 8/26. We rebooked after we missed 2 ports of call in January 2005. We are a family of 4, Me, DH, and our 2 sons, Alex, 16 and Nicholas, 12.
Nick and I will be staying at AKL for a few days before the cruise. DH and Alex can't get off of work. Taking MIL with us, just for the Disney portion of the trip. Shipping her back home before we ship out.
Back in Jan 2005, Alex had made some friends pre-cruise, so he had a great time. Nick, on the other hand, wasn't thrilled with the kids clubs since he didn't have a buddy before hand. Hopefully somebody willl have a boy (or even a girl) in the 10-13 age range.
