no docs yet but I'm not worried.

We are going to Florida a week from Saturday for a weeks vacation. When we return its only 3 weeks until we leave for the cruise .. WOOHOO

Can anyone advise me on choosing a preferred room at Pop? We want to be close to transportation and food. We don't have small kids or older folks. Thanks!

We stayed in the 90s and was not far from food, pool, and bus stop. Be warned though, stop had no shade. And, since it is like a motel, I heard every luggage be rolled over the breaks in the outside hallway floor -it was concrete. (we were on the 4th floor). But, for basic place to stay, it was fine. And to be more off topic, the maids found out it was my DD's birthday one of the days we stayed there, and they wrote happy birthday to her, with a cake, all made out of towels!

On topic, my most repeated saying: We are so excited for this cruise!;)

I'm getting worried now, because I have't started my FE gifts!!! :lmao:
On a side note, Disneyland annual passholders can get a 25% discount on the California Coastal (i.e. Pixar) cruises, in September and October. Darn, I wish I could take advantage of that one, it would be about HALF the cost of this cruise, because of no air fare and hotel. (and stupid school and work getting in the way)

Don't you hate it when school and work get in the way! Since I haven't won the lottery yet, I guess I have to live with it!

p.s. Got our docs today via snail mail. It's SOOOO much more official now!

I added my son this morning, and the TA checked on the docs. She was told that ours haven't been sent out yet, so there is still time to change them. No rush on the docs, it's the FE stuff I'm worried about. What was the final cabin/kid totals?

Got ours today. What's weird is that I am going to Disney the week before and I haven't gotten that Mickey Mail yet. Now to read it cover to cover. :):cool1:

We always stay at POP we love it! We have stayed in many of the buildings but have never had preferred and always found that it was never a long walk to get to anything, we have stayed in the 50s (building 3), 60s (building 5), 70s (building 10), and I think 90s (building 9, not sure if this is the 80s or 90s) and have always been close to everything. If you have a car I would recommend building 9 it was just a quick walk across the parking lot to the main building and super close to the parking lot. For pool access we liked the 60s, building 5, facing the lake (its quieter). Really though we've been happy with every place we've stayed and while building 5 is my favourite -- its close to the toddler pool and I have a toddler, we would be okay with any of the buildings we've stayed in before and since you have preferred not standard, I think you'll be okay.

I didn't count cabins, but final? Last? I have is 137 people, of that, 60 are kids, identified as 21 or younger ( all the way down to 6m old!).

Ordered some of my FE items, but most of the girls' gifts are bagged, with most of the boys too. Now, I have to start making our FE!:)

My hubby reports our cruise docs came yesterday. Yay!! DD and I are in NJ for dance nationals and I'm on work trips every week until cruise time. It will go by fast (but so will the time to make FE gifts!!!).

Thank you - This will be our first WDW trip so we are researching every step.

Thanks - still not sure where we will stay, it seems like you can't go wrong on location.

2 Disney trips this year:woohoo: we are all very excited. Now if only the cruise documents would arrive...

Docs arrived yesterday. My son was convinced it was a DVD for him and my Mom had to keep him from ripping open the envelope!

Just curious because I live in NJ. Where are the dance nationals?

the venue is Resorts Intl in AC. We rented a beach house in Brigantine. headed home tmrw. my daughter did very well (3rd overall in solo, 4th overall in duet, high scores in most group numbers). It was a good week. :cool1:

After being here a while & reading all the posts, I feel that DH & I are the odd ones out. It seems there may only be a few others who are traveling without kids or grandkids. Are we the only couples only on this thread?

My husband and I will be on this cruise. Curt and Donna

The other set of docs came for the second stateroom so I guess I get to go too. :thumbsup2

I called my TA to prepay the tips so that is one less thing that will be added to the stateroom account. :goodvibes

By the way, for those who may be interested, DCL recommended tipping amounts to $12 per person a day. That amounts to $84 per person for a 7 day cruise. This would include all passengers, regardless of age. For our family of 4 that's $336.
