I have Remy for night 5 and Palo for night 6 ... I hope it doesn't conflict with my Animators nights

Both are for 6pm (earliest possible) so can still catch show / salvage evening entertainment

Sorry to hear that. I have always had good concierge on the ship, but shoreside sometimes seems to be less efficient. Hopefully, they will get that straightened out.

You are right. A nutty as it can be trying to micromanage the planning beforehand, its possible to be tossed a few curveballs once on board. The concierge staff on the ship have always been able to shuffle things around as needed provided you do it that first day when you review the itinerary with them.

This is going to be my first experience trying to coordinate things with other families.

Let's do the less than 15 weeks happy dance:banana::banana::banana:

Sorry that I am a day late, but yesterday we had a sweet sixteen party for my middle DD and I had to cook out with my new grill on the deck for the ladies for Mother's Day:scared1:

My SIL booked us for Palo brunch and dinner. I am thinking we want to cancel one. I know we can be charged if we don't cancel X number of days out. Anyone know what the X is?

The Palo/Remy cancellation policy is pretty flexible. The excursion cancellation policy is a little more stringent, you have to cancel 3 days prior to sailing.

If you read the Palo/Remy FAQ policy on the DCL website it says by 2 PM the same day of the reservation. Strangely enough it doesn't mention brunch. The bottom-line is if you give them enough time to fill your vacated reservation they don't charge you.

Please Note: When Guests have not cancelled a dining reservation at Palo or Remy by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the reservation or do not show to the restaurant to honor their reservation, the reservation is considered confirmed and 100% of the Dining Option is applied to the Guests' folio.

Thanks for your help. We would cancel before sailing if we do.

Wow - lots more activity on this board. We just returned from 3 great weeks in France and it's time to put on my cruise planning hat. Paid off the balance one one cabin and the other 2 next week in time for our Silver booking window. We're great with leaving the FE group as one.I coordinated the FE group on our last cruise. We had a lot of people (I think it was 10) asking to join the group after our cutoff. I think I saw a post saying people who join after the deadline would be in a separate group. I think that is a great idea. We're all getting excited about the cruise. Seems weird with a vacation coming up so soon. We usually just do one per year.

Jeff,
What is that rotation, the one with AP 3 times. Is it true they are doing a restaurant back to back during the rotation? Is it AERAERA ???

I'm not Jeff....but I was told that it's A/E/R/A/E/R/A. :)

anxiously waiting for our booking window! Unfortunately, it is almost a month away! DH is praying and praying we can get a cabana. So I have to hope someone cancels! Working on our FE gifts, but concerned I won't have room in the luggage on the way home for all the goodies! We want to do Palo, but have to figure out when, but not sure if we need to figure out our dining rotation beforehand? Is there a less desireable restaurant? Oh so much to think about!!

We are waiting on our SW credits to get to our account to book airfare. And then trying to decide if we will do two days at WDW afterwards! Sometimes our eyes get bigger than our calendar or wallet allows! DS9 will start school on the 4th, so wondering just how tired he will be if we decide not to come home til the 3rd. He has assured me that he will make the sacrifice! :rotfl:

last I heard, cabanas were almost sold out. I'm hoping for the same. :)

my suggestion on FE...bring a collapsible duffle that can be folded into a larger suitcase and use that on the return trip for dirty laundry to make room in a hard side suitcase for all the goodies. :cool1:

if you don't want to miss out on anything in the dining rotation, I suggest Palo for brunch instead. it is quite awesome.

just some thoughts from me. :wave2:

As of now, it looks like all the cabanas are sold out both family beach and serenity bay.

also...anyone have kids around 9 years old? I have a son, and would be great to get in touch with someone his age before we go!

Called today to let DCL know they need to pick us up at Riverside and not at MCO. I also put in a dining rotation request.

Sending final payment in tomorrow, so it's in at least a week before our booking window opens up.

Now, I have to figure out what to do for the FE. And I have zero ideas. Also wondering how to deal with our FE holder itself. It only has three pockets, for DH and me, one for DD, one for DS. Not sure what to do about my Mom, who is with us this time. Maybe there is some way to tack a pocket on at the end? Or Maybe I can add her name with peel and stick felt to one of the existing pockets? I know, serious problems! :rotfl:

Well, we are already paid up, but patiently waiting for the 75 day. 3AM EDT is not my ideal of fun sitting at the computer.

You are better off than me with the FE situation! I still have to make ours and figure out what to have as FE gifts. Decisions, Decisions! If it was me, I would just felt stick her name on your and DH's pocket. That way, you can remove if not cruising with her, and one more adult in the pocket won't be that bad. I also like to take the easy way out:cheer2:

Such a beautiful Philly day here. Cool and lots of sun. Makes us ready for summer.

I agree that the weather in Philly is beautiful:thumbsup2 My wife is picking up our oldest DD from college this afternoon and she will start her summer job on this Monday:woohoo:

Somebody's going to get a DCL Dooney & Bourke bag on the ship:rotfl:

Also US Airways has dropped their PHL airfare for August for those who have been waiting to book;)

Beautiful weather here in CT - should be a great weekend.

One of my best buddies is on the Dream with his family on their first cruise. I told him to rebook onboard.

I'm going to Chicago on Monday and I am a little nervous because the NATO summit will be there too:scared1:

Hopefully downtown will be peaceful while I am there:thumbsup2

I love this city as it is a great walking city and the restaurants are outstanding:goodvibes

This is my family's 1st Disney cruise and we are so excited. May we join the FE group?
